I purchased these over a year ago, in September 2020. I've been using one lighter about 98% of the time for non-tobacco products on a daily basis, so I'd guesstimate that it's gone through around 4000 lighting cycles in that time. The lighter has a spring-loaded cap, and the spring failed about a month ago. (A thumbnail under the cap opens it easily.) Other than that, the lighter still works like a champ. I sometimes have to flick the lighter several times to get a flame, but opening the valve avoids that problem when it happens. This also is not wind-proof, just wind-resistant: turn your body to block a direct wind or use the cap as a smaller wind-block, and you'll be fine. It also looks really good. One of my sons was visiting from out of town shortly after I received these. I spotted him eyeing the lighter lying on the counter, and I could read his mind: "How much money did Dad just blow on this lighter?" Me: "Nice lighter, huh?" Him (hesitantly): "Yeah." Me: "$13.99. For two of them." Him: Laughing (because I'd read his mind). I always use a premium refined butane. In my experience, the lighter refills best not using any adapter at all on the refill can: the metal nozzle pairs well with the lighter's refilling stem. Also, to maximize the amount of butane you can load, turn the lighter upside down and press its stem to release any air before filling. A paperclip or small allen wrench work well. Would I purchase these as a gift? Nah, they're too cheap. But, you shouldn't go wrong for your own use.

I'm a big fan of lighters, from basic Bics with fidget spinner covers, to modded Zippos and torches. Butane is one of my favorite lighting fuels, because it is easy to store refill canisters and they are reliable and easy to maintain. They usually only fail at the seal, which can be a bit messy and painful if it happens while in a pocket, but if you use it regularly so it doesn't stay under constant pressure, the seals last a very long time, generally. I can't guess as to how this one will hold up, but if I had to judge by the overall build quality, I'd say it's going to last awhile. The lighter is very durable and solid feeling, maybe a tad heavy in a pocket compared to a Bic, but not terrible, and the size is very compact, slightly shorter than a Bic and almost the same width (slightly wider). The cap snaps on solidly and pops open when you press the button slightly. It rarely lights for me if I press straight down with no pause, but if I open the lid first, then press fully, it lights every time. One feature that I'm only now experiencing with this lighter is the ability to adjust the flame without a screwdriver. The base is fully rotatable, so adjusting the flame intensity is simple, as is clearing the chamber of excess pressure to ensure the best possible refill. Highly recommended!

The item is as advertised, packaged well, and very easy to fill with butane. The lighters work great and lights every time. The lighters easily ignite newspaper I use to start my kindling fire for my woodstove.

A review of Topkay 2pk lighter model K385, bought from Amazon. Being a cigar smoker I have found this lighter to be reliable and durable. I use it exclusively on the golf course in all conditions. My cigar is lit and enjoyed. My second cigar smoking place is in our screened porch that serves as an all around place to listen and watch media. The second lighter serves as a table lighter that looks fine on the table waiting for myself and others to use.

I purchased the pair in May 2025. Both lighters worked great to start, after the first refill (using the same can of butane), one is working fine, the other won’t work at all (and yes, I bled out the air out of each). When I press down on the igniter button (on the non-performing lighter) there is no sound of butane release as there is in the working lighter. My confidence that the working lighter will continue to perform in the future is fairly low.
