It's good enough for social media
I wasn't exactly sure what this set did, and I wanted the ability to take photos with zoom. You get a monocular that has a manual focus. It has its own carrying case, strap and cleaning cloth. It's a decent monocular but definitely at the low end of the spectrum of optics. It has a thin plastic body. The case is a silicone case with a plastic sleeve that fits over the case. I thought it could accommodate other monoculars or such but it sadly does not.Operation of the lens with the iPhone 6S is respectable. I notice some light aberrations at a distance of greater than 50 yards. You have to be still or have this mounted on a tripod to get a clear telephoto shot. For a causal user who uses their phone as their camera, he or she will get decent pictures for Facebook, Instagram or VSCO. It's good enough for social media. If this is your only purpose, it's good.Update: In trying to adjust the focus, the focusing wheel cracked. I dropped a star for this.

Surprised how well it worked...
First off... for the iPhone 5/5S, this works exactly as specified. You put the rubber case on your phone, you slip it into the hard plastic adapter, and you simply attach the monocular. They also include instructions and some additional "pieces" if you want to use it for an iPhone 4/4S, but honestly... it's kinda hokey... It involves essentially taping some spacers onto the hard plastic adapter so that the iPhone 4/4S fits correctly...When you use the monocular, the image will show up inside a circle. So if you want a full screen shot, you'll need to zoom in on the phone to get it to be full screen. The image quality doesn't seem to degrade significantly when you do so.There are three issues, I find... the first two are more related to monoculars/zooming in general rather than specifically with this product, while the third is a combination of the product and monoculars in general.1. You need extremely steady hands when you take a picture using something like this. Any slight movement or tremor will make the picture shake or become blurry. Though again, this is really a problem with any camera once you zoom... but given that the zoom on the monocular is 7x, it can be pretty difficult to get a steady shot... and this is related to the next issue.2. The zooming capabilities are mainly useful in outdoors, bright light conditions. Anytime you use something like a monocular, the act of zooming will reduce the amount of light going through the monocular (you can search the internet for all the physics behind this). The end result is that it exacerbates the typical issue with smartphone cameras in indoor/low light conditions... blurry images. It's possible that this might not be as bad on an iPhone 5S... And again, this is more of an issue separate from the monocular, but using the monocular tends to compound the problem.3. The center of a zoomed image will be clear but as you go towards the edge of the picture, there will be some blur rinses. Again, this might be just a characteristic of zooming in with a monocular in general. It could also be the optics of the monocular, given that this isn't the most expensive monocular in the world...

Nice Gadget
Nice little add-on gadget. I haven't used it extensively, yet; however, I've tried it a time or two it was a little difficult to hold my phone steady enough to get a clear picture if I was zoomed very much. I don't think this is unusual when using most any telephoto lens ... just the nature of the beast. I guess that's why a lot of photographs use unipods when they are using their telephoto lens to take pictures. I have an iPhone 4S and the product is easily adaptable to it. I saw another review commenting that you couldn't use your flash with this product, which is true because the case covers the flash ...but a flash really isn't something that is useful if you are taking a picture of something that is some distance away. Flashes on most cameras or phones are only useful if the subject is fairly close. If you aren't zooming and want to take a picture with the your flash, then yes you would have to remove the hookupz case to do so .... no big deal to me though because it is easy to remove. I can see where the flash would be helpful if you are zoomed in on something that is actually close to the camera lens, but I can live with this issue since I'll probably use this thing mostly in daylight hours and outside to take pictures of objects or people that are actually far away, so I won't need a flash. For the price, I think it is a good deal.

works well However, I was hoping that the eyepieces would be interchangeable with the spotting scope/ binocular adapter models but they are fixed.

It's ok
Works ok. It's limited with what it does. But you can definitely zoom in.
