Very noisy on FM with headphones, Volume control mad.

i saw this and thought i review it, i got one of these,and it"s good, impressed by it"s size and capabilities,ssb takes some getting used to,but once you suss that out you will be well pleased,get yourself the WORLD TV HANDBOOK and have a listen on the shortwave,i am a veteran on finding shortwave radio stations,done it for years and years, Get this radio and you will be well on your way,take it on holiday with you too,get some batteries to help you out, using it on the mains is ok, but if you get batteries you can take it anywhere,get a some lightweight headphones..you will be suprised, it really helps, i truely think you need an outside antenna too, the outdoors antenna IS GREAT,I AM NOT BEING a salesman and i am radio enthusiast, JUST GRAB THIS and treasure it, you can get radio hams no problems..use SSB,the world is yours with this radio,you will be amazed at this radio! i do not recommend you take this in your luggage if you go abroad..leave it at home safe,someone will steal it,i DO however say use it if you are near the sea,SSB maritime frequencies are on shortwave, search the internet for them, you can hear trawlermen nattering, there are some long distance airline frequencies out there, the world is out there with this radio,GO FOR IT, HOURS of happy listening awaits the recipient of this radio!
