100 ft - 12 Gauge Heavy Duty Extension Cord - Lighted SJTW - Indoor/Outdoor Extension Cord by Watt's Wire - 100' 12-Gauge Grounded 15 Amp Extension Cord

This cable is heavy. I haven't had a chance to load it with amperage yet, but I can at least say that it's not flimsy like those 18 guage cords people buy. I would recommend this cord for applications which say, "Do not use with an extension cord". Many cords are advertised as "Heavy Duty" but this really is a heavy duty cord. Please buy this cord and then give lower rating for false advertised cords which say such erroneous information. BTW: You don't want this cord for running your dresser lamp, you want this cord for heavy appliances and high current devices such as power tools.

I bought this as an extension cord for my 2013 Volt's factory EVSE, the cord is a bit too short by itself so I decided to get this heavy duty 12 gauge extension. its rated for 15 amps and the most the volt can pull is 12 so I felt comfortable ordering. Actually using the cord I realized its even heavier than the plug on the EVSE! I've been using it every day for almost two months without issue, using both the 12amp (max) and 8amp (reduced) charge modes. it even fits under the trunk storage lid if you decide to take it with you somewhere. Overall I 100% recommend ordering, will update if anything happens but it's so heavy and so well built I couldn't imagine what would happen.

I purchased this so I could move my small hot tub pump a few feet further from the outlet. The pump lights up but won't run the motors. Worse the pump motherboard has failed and is being replaced under warranty.I'll return this as defecting and order a better made cord

I use this wire to connect to extend to my electric car outside the house to charge. It's tricky to see at night, but with this light tip, really helps locate the head connect the charger to. Materials all feel well made, sturdy, and should last a long long time. Probably a product i won't have to replace for a long time.Wires are flexible, and extends straight. You know how some wires kind of lock into a certain coil shape and cannot straighten fully? This wire does not have that problem. The full length can be utilized.

I live with my daughter. Who is 64 years old and being on a limited budget, she decided to cut our lawn grass with an electric lawn mower. We purchased the extension cord for that purchase and it works beautifully and allows her to cut our entire lawn and use an electric weed eater. Although I gave this product a 5 star rating for durability, we have only recently purchased it, but I anticipate that it will be very durable. Thank you for allowing me to comment on your product.

Needed an extenion cord,the one I had was shot and could have started a fire. A friend who knows about cords explained what I needed and why and helped me choose this one.I was surprised at how nice and heavy duty it is.When I plug things into it,it plugs in nice and really tight,unlike my old one ever did and hasent tripped any circuits in the breaker box.It never gets hot like the old one.Ive only used it for a few days at this point but so far Im very happy with it.And feel much safer.Great cord at a decent price!

We bought a new electric pressure washer to clean our deck this spring and couldn't fit the bulky plug into the outdoor receptacle since it has a plastic weatherproof receptacle protector on it. This provides an easy fix, while adding just 1 ft of length to the cord. Much better than running the long cord thru the sliding glass door to an indoor receptacle with enough clearance for the plug. Nice, heavy-duty cord and lighted end could be a plus for some as well.

If you are willing to spend the money for quality well-built extension cord then you have found the right product. I have other cords made by these folks and they all have held up well in both inside and outside use. There are a number of cheaper throw-away cords out there, but I look for products that can go the distance.
