The components for the lures seem good. The short end of the wire is too long for the smaller sized bodies and sticks out the top of the body but easily remedied by trimming. Unable to trim with the tool because the wire separates the tool, like when you use cheap scissors. Also, the tool does not allow you to trim the tail of the wire near the wire shaft when you're finished. The tool was one of my main reasons for buying the kit. How well they catch fish is still TBD.

I really like this set. Has everything you need to make your own Mepps Lure. I am gong to buy some synthetic fiber strands to make some rooster tails. Can't wait!

The pliers leave you a little disappointed. Won’t retain things no matter how hard you apply pressure.

All pieces are low quality with the exception of the pliers. They are junk.

What I ordered

Not worth the trouble. Don’t order. It arrived in a ziplock bag. It must just be for replacement. No instructions. Or help guide. Don’t waste your money. Sent it back.

Bought this product as a Christmas gift for a ten year old who loves fishing. Great product, he loved it.. Only critique would be that I wish it would have came in a box, not a clear plastic bag, I feel like after its opened it will be hard to keep organized...
