Solid build
Thick gage wires and good bond with the connectors. I used these for my trailer and they work well.

Thicc 👀👀😏
Nice! You get a two piece set with 8 mounting screws. Plastic isnt rigid but has some flex yet it's thick enough to seem reliable and somewhat mold into what ever your screwing it on. Wiring is also very thick 12 AWG, so the electric pixies will enjoy the high amp bullet train. The dust cap seals well and has grip or jimping on the sides. Unsure if the cable is copper, due to the pre tinned leads. But so far it's operating great and has been a breeze installing. Highly recommend if you need a 12AWG weatherproof sae power connector.

As a power port, the polarity is spot on.
I feel that those giving a poor review stating the polarity is reversed may be being a bit unfair. These jacks were designed as a power port (output), which is why the red, positive cable terminates in the covered female pole. For those of us using this as a power input such as to connect solar panels to a controller; yes the color polarity would be reversed but that was not the intended use for this product. A safe and simple solution is to nip the cables close to the back of the port, then solder and heat shrink the opposite color cable back onto the pigtail thus creating the correct color coding for the polarity of an input jack. It's a good product and very useful.

Workxs great but screws are to soft to go into metal
The product worked as designed. It did a good job of filling my needs. The screws could have been higher quality so they would thread into a piece of sheet metal rather than strip the threads off the screw. Given the sam ended I would purchase these again.

The hole size needed is exactly 0.8 inches.
The hole size needed is exactly 0.8 inches. (Someone said 3/4 inch in an answer to a question, but that is definitely too small.) Since drill bits don't come 0.8 inch size, I used a 7/8 spade bit, which is 0.875 inches. A 13/16 bit would be closer (0.8125), but I didn't want to buy one just for this project. I used liquid electrical tape to seal the gap and it is completely waterproof. Installed through a deck plate over a port containing battery.

Excellent product
It’s always a chore to make a pass though on a trailer to supply 12v at almost any amperage. It’s a perfect pass through. Very professional. The bigger wire let you have a longer run with less degradation. The actual socket is a nice snug fit. Water prof? We will see. I will not take for granted the maybe weak link and spray the terminal with battery corrosion protection so it will stay conductive. Over all the product and I are about to start a gr8 friendship. Buy it.

Excellent quality
Used as power taps throughout my workshop carrying 24VDC for a portable entertainment system.Easy to install, a 7/8" hole is all you need for these to sit flat. The weatherproof cover ensures these remain free of dust and debris in spite of a dirty, heavy use environment. The 12 gauge wire is ample enough to carry all the current I'll need from these.

Good quality nice solid wires. But the cap is not good
I usually do not write detailed reviews but the cap on these fits tight but the retainment piece is too short so it breaks off! I closed the cap at -5C and the plastic turned white.. so I came up with my solution. If the retainment piece was 5mm longer it would probably be okay.My solution:- Cut off the crappy cap using a new razor blade- Purchase Paulin 1/4-inch Cable Clamp Black from HD (SKU - 1000163080)- This will not work with the included screws. - Purchase pan head #8 stainless bolts and nylocs or pan head screws depending on the material- If you don’t have them order some SAE dust caps (I ordered ASIN - B0B392YQ6J). Carefully cut off one of the loopsI think it looks pretty good! I installed two of these so I have 18 spare caps lol. Lifetime supplyBen
