Boa Lite Harness

The Alite Designs Harness sucks. I bought it elsewhere online but I wanted to leave a review so no one made the mistake I did. First of all it uses velcro material- that is a failure right there- who the hell uses velcro for a dog harness- a DOG HARNESS- which can have to take the elements, this wont last with velcro-thats the first.Mistakes:1. Using Velcro -instead of a belt system or some other method because Velcro wears out with even dust particles.2. Location of harness loops- doesnt make sense for my dog at all-3. Design- The straps have to loop through to connect making it very difficult as there is more velcro straps on the strap itself- this makes putting this on and off a cumbersome process.This company is idiotic to make this product, wasted my time in purchasing it, and now I have to return it.I bought a few other dog items from Alite- and they suck. The leash and a collar- poor material, comparable to Target or Wal-Mart, I would definitely do some research before purchasing a harness.As a note, I bough a leather harness from Amazon that worked Great.

I got this on sale and for the price of about $16 its worth the effort. For a full priced pack which would range from $35-50 it would be lacking in features other packs would have but for the reduced price its very good.As a previous reviewer mentioned, Yes the Velcro is quite a pain. The Chest strap isn't as big of an issue, but the Belly strap being entirely Velcro makes the item quite a pain to take off and put on.I got a large for my dog, and even though there is plenty of length in the strap, there isn't much Velcro left, which makes it not reliable as a harness because the dog can easily pull out it with such little Velcro hangingPros. The backpack itself is very good, I wanted a low-profile sleek close to the body backpack for my dog. Most packs are very "floppy" because its 2 saddlebags strapped over a harness so the saddles bounce around when the dog runs or gets caught on things.These packs are very good because its sleek and close to the dogs body, minimizing/eliminating bounce. there is also an easy access pocket to store poop bags.I'm gonna add a buckle to the belly strap to make it easier take on and off. Overall I'm pleased with this and it fits well, just need to improve the belly strap.see photos. second photo is the pack with two 20oz water bladders (one on each side/pocket)
