In my opinion, this thermometer is a great value for the price. Some of the instant read thermometers on the market cost 2 to 3 times what I paid for this one, and they're not worth the extra money for all you get with this one. This has a large display, and backlight which make it very easy to read, even for a guy like me who uses reading glasses. I have no problem reading the temp with or without my glasses on. I used the calibration function and have found it to be very accurate. When it tells me my grilled chicken is done, it's done. When it tells me my steak is medium-rare, it is. Are there thermometers out there that give you a faster reading? Yeah, probably. But this one gives me a stable temp reading after 3-4 seconds and that's plenty fast for my purposes, especially considering, like I said it would cost 2-3 times more to get that speed. It even ships with a spare battery, so you don't have to worry about it not being ready when you need it. The magnet is a nice feature too, along with the temps for different doneness printed on the front. I'm glad I bought this, and would recommend it.

Easy to use, work great, is accurate. I have one for home and I ordered this one to keep elsewhere.

This review is for a GDEALER DT15 INSTANT READ MEAT THERMOMETER!I LOVE IT!I had several so called instant read thermometers that I was never really satisfied with so I started searching for a worthwhile replacement. I bought a few different models off the shelf at kitchen and big box stores and was dissapointed with what I found and returned all of them. I found this one on Amazon at a lower price and decided to give it a try.The plusses: Very good low price, Powers on when probe is opened, Auto power off to conserve battery, Once probe is open and auto power off occurs pushing a button will power on again (you don't have to close and reopen which keeps meat juices off thermometers case), Large display I can read without my glasses, Bright backlight for the display, Small point to penetrate the meat, Only takes six seconds to read, Can recalibrate the thermometer at home, Has a temperature max hold button.I liked this thermometer so much I ordered a second one to keep in my camper and got rid of all my other thermometers.Negatives: NONE, I LOVE IT!
