Works as you would expect! Great standard thick tamping mat that doesn't slide around on the counter. The best part is how easy it is to clean-- rinse it off and it looks as good as new!

A barista friend suggested I get one of these. This one was thicker than the others I looked and is terrific, thick enough that I don’t worry about my counter when tapping and tamping and sized a bit narrower than my Breville Barista Express so it fits on my counter without taking up extra space. Since it is silicone it stays in place, but does get espresso dust sticking to it. It cleans up instantly with water and a wipe of a towel to dry it.

Good size and quality, but in my case does not let open the cabinet door. The lip at the edge of the counter is too long.It seems may work with 1-1/4" counter top.
