Good flavor - HORRIBLE after effects.
Normally - not going to be this candid about a product, but as it was particularly problematic, I wanted to share. (this is anonymous, right?)Wife wanted to give this coffee a shot because we're slowly turning into that family that eats only organic, fair trade things and I think at some point we'll all just give up and hunt/gather on our own. I am all for good coffee, so we went for it. Grind was good. Flavor was great, and we brew medium to strong cups of coffee, so I was excited initially. That's the extent of the good news. The shenanigans started about 3 hours after the large travel mug was finished off. During a meeting, in a room brimming with senior military officers who could directly affect my professional well-being on a whim, I felt a rumble in areas that seemed foreign to me. It was like a gurgle from a far off land that you recalled from a childhood experience. Surely, this was just a hunger pang, but I ate my routine breakfast of a banana, protein bar, and a yogurt cup – so I was OPS normal in that regard. I tried to ignore it, thinking it was an anomaly. I was terribly wrong.Within 20 minutes, I felt as if someone was inflating a balloon deep inside the pit of my innards. Without understanding WHY this was going on, I needed no time to realize WHAT was going on. A few minutes later I found myself deftly and subtlety shifting in my LEATHER chair as I let the sheer pressure from inside force out small puffs of air – thanking Odin, Yahweh, God, Allah, Vishnu, and anything else I could think of that it wasn’t noxious. I thanked them too too soon. The next barrage certainly was in the category of silent, yet impeccably deadly. Folks to my left and right began to make this look as if to wonder “why would someone bring a bag of a bag of raw, Hudson river sewage into this meeting?” I knew there was no way to hide this, but as I was in an ASSIGNED SEAT AT THE LEAD TABLE – I had no recourse. More and more, a hideous stench grew from inside me like I was the harbinger of death flinging brimstone at the non-believers. Luckily no sounds were made, and a few furtive glances were made at my leeward neighbor to falsely implicate him as the originator of this emanation. Admittedly, I felt like less of a man for doing this, but there was no way my career was going down the tank because of the witches brew of death I could not control. The meeting ended, and before anyone could ask me to stick around and talk afterwards, I sprinted to the door and what I viewed as ultimate safety.Following the meeting – it was a multi-hour issue - I HAD to discover the source of this, now suspecting it was the coffee as it was the only new variable in this horrible equation. I took a day off, had a large travel mug on the third day (day 1 being “Ground Zero Stench Day”). The process was exactly the same – although at least I had the comfort of knowing I was alone in my office to deal with this (taking frequent walks to cropdust away from the masses). I have an exceptionally strong constitution, but to be sure I repeated the experiment 3 more times at different times of day and different variable foods – the only constants were the ever flavorful coffee and the horrific smell of unfettered death that came shortly after drinking it.I did not dare ask my wife if this happened to her – I assume it did not because as was taught when I was young, women don't do that. I am hesitant to even bring it up publically – however I want to protect the innocent. We won't be buying this again – but – I hope those that do enjoy the product and don't experience the same "issues" as I. Maybe, just maybe, it was just me.

Organic Yuban Coffee, That's a Winner
I had to quit drinking coffee because it made my stomach hurt. After a month with no coffee, my husband and I felt we needed coffee to complete our meals. My Dr. suggested we try Organic. The coffee we love is Yuban Dark Roast, which we were unable to purchase in the Bolivar, Stockton, MO area. We had switched to whatever dark roast coffee we could get when my liver started having issues. This Organic Yuban is not quite as rich as their dark roast but it still has a good aroma and the flavor is so much better than the other brands we tried. Now my Dr. is happy because Organic is so much safer to drink than regular coffee; the regular has so many pesticides and we're happy to have real coffee to compliment our meals. Also, this supplier had the coffee to us in 26 hours from the time I placed my order. I was stunned when it arrived. Great product, great supplier.

If doctor says no this is the only way to go!!
This coffee is unique in that I have tried most organic coffees available. From grocery to specialty and health food store.... TRULY!! This is the only one that I can drink a average 4 to 5 pots per week....(I work from home) and have NONE of the tense neck nor sleepless nor tender boobs.---And while there are others I like the taste of, none I can drink very much of. Doctor had ordered me off coffee 10years ago that's how long I've drank this brand, while trying many along the way that were great--Just had the tender-boob problem...sadly. Fybroids run in my family. I panicked when Kraft bought them but so far so good!

Why isn't there more? Oh, well...
My wife and I love this coffee! It is delicious, and very 'peppy' (theo-bromines), unlike other 'boutique' coffees which substitute strength for quality. I also like Yuban's use of robusta beans for their somewhat astringent flavor (similar to Japanese 'matcha'). We first found it at Target stores--"the only place I could find the organic one," my wife just added. It's no longer there, and if these are the last three, it's a shame. Last month, trying to avoid the de rigueur, I got a can (purchased online) for a week-long electronics certification class in Rancho Cucamonga (as a student), and nearly the entire staff, and my classmates as well, thanked me for bringing "the best coffee they ever had" for their grueling training session. That was their opinion and mine.

Stop shopping for coffee this one you need.
If you like a flavorful coffee this is the one. We can not get this organic Yuban in our area in New Mexico any more just Original is available. Getting this coffee threw Amazon on a monthly bases works out great for us. Strongly suggest this and Amazon scheduled monthly delivery of the Organic Yuban Coffee.

Just Does Not Taste Right
I'm trying to find an Organic Coffee that I can stand. So far after 8 or 9, I can't seem to get one that I can swallow.I have used regular Yuban before, and really liked it, so I figured their Organic would be just as good.Completely different flavor, not to my liking.-There used to be (1970s) an Organic Coffee in a silver bag from Mexico (called Altura; and not the Altura currently being sold) that was great. Can't find it.
