The comparisons are limited as the persecution has largely been oppression of ideas and thoughts, but for many, it is much more than that as, Dr. Bergman has so elegantly demonstrated in these cases studies.

Readers of the first two volumes will find important new material in Volume III. Not just more of the same, this volume focuses on censorship. Dr Bergman documents how libraries and bookstores refuse to display scientific books on intelligent design, or they hide them away in the "religion" section, while Darwinist material is prominently displayed in the Science section. He documents censorship of ID material in school curricula, in the media, in academia. No wonder nobody hears alternatives to Darwin! In addition, he documents censorship in research grants and peer review; this is behind evolutionists' claim that ID advocates never publish in leading journals. Bergman shows cases where any verbiage related to design or purpose is summarily erased from articles, papers, and books, but vacuous statements like "it evolved" get a pass. In this way, evolutionists systematically whitewash science of anything that might challenge Darwinism with scientific evidence, no matter how scholarly the source. Adding to this new material are new stories of individuals and institutions that have experienced censorship by Darwinians, often with career-ending results.

This book shows how what the Darwinists like to think is a scientific consensus is actually enforced. Any scientist who has reservations about evolution in general or even dares to think it came about due to Intelligent Design (God was involved. Gosh!) will need to exercise extreme care before announcing their ideas to others. It will lead to career suicide otherwise. This is not published generally, so the author was sticking his neck out by writing this book. I would recommend it for believers and non-believers alike.
