Powerful, I bought all 3 versions
At the prices listed I bought all 3 versions and even the 4x is much higher magnification than the no-name far eastern hand held magnifiers I have bought from Amazon sellers that claimed to be 4x to 10x power. I have not tested these yet for actual magnification but based on the views provided compared to my other magnifiers and high end loupes these are very close to the listed magnifications. Thank you Carson for listing true magnifying powers for your products. I suspect that the powers listed are near the maximum possible for each lens diameter based on their being single element lenses with both reasonably controlled distortion levels and reasonable weights.

Affordable and works well
I have been legally blind my entire life due to a genetic disease. I've had many magnifiers and these are among my favorites. When my previous magnifier died (fell off the bed and the plastic part holding the lens cracked, I knew it was time for another one. Unfortunately, the same make/model that I had broken would have cost me $80 to buy new. It's expensive being disabled. Thankfully this model was just as good and much more affordable. I can knit, read, and clip my nails just fine with this lightweight and affordable magnifier. I will be ordering backups.

Great lighted magnifier
I already bought the 7x magnifier and its great for some puzzles i do, but the 5x is perfect for the jigsaw puzzles and hidden cat puzzles so I think they both work great. Lightweight so won't tire your hand (have arthritis) comfortable in your hand and works perfectly. Highly recommend.

GREAT MAGNIFIER, BUT
USING A SCREWDRIVER I HAD TO USE SO MUCH FORCE TO OPEN IT I THOUGHT I BROKE IT.

It really helps my brother, who has macular degeneration, but it would have been better if they could have made it a little larger.

Magnifier
I like this pretty good as the magnification seems to be close to 5 power unlike some others that claim to be something there not. It's hard to find something that states their true magnifcation without overstating.I like this Carlson and bought their 7 power magnification version also, but mainly use this one for it's 2 1/4" diameter lens and the other one for finer print as the lens on that one is about 1 1/4 diameter.
