All primary chaincase oil is PRIMARILY used to cool the clutch. It is also a lubricant for the chain etc. But it's primary function is to cool the clutch. That is what the statement in the add is referencing. Yes, it lubricates the primary chain and more. This is all I use in 5 Harleys, love this stuff. I use all Lucas specific oils in all 3 Harley holes.
