Disappointing
Poorly written and edited -- full of needless jargon, parentheticals, and air quotes. Could have been streamlined quite a bit and would have better readability as a result. Moreover, it seems pretty old-school in its approach to architecture.

Not for practitioners
I agree with the first reviewer. This book promises much, but was a disappointment for me. Perhaps the author knows the subject, but practitioners will not find nearly enough depth in this book, it reads more like a catalog of activities. If that is what you want, I recommend the DAMA DMBOK instead. At least that publication is trying to establish standards and best practice. The Preface states "to educate those in business management". If I knew that before, I would not have purchased this book. Now I have a slightly used copy to sell.

Awful
First few chapters are total gibberish. They're nonsensical, semi-mystical ramblings that make no sense and certainly have no place in the real world of data architecture.I gave up after that. Complete waste of money.

This is not about Data Architecture
I am very disappointed to realise that this book is not about Data Architecture at all. While it touches a few areas on Data Architecture, majority of the book is not really about DA!
