Gave to a hunter and outdoors man as gift he loved it says good stories

Good book for young adult readers who are interested in hunting, fishing, and outdoor stuff. Be warned, animals do get killed in this book. If your young reader would be troubled by this, it's not the book for you. The killings are not graphic or over dramatized, but they are present. It held my child's interest and, to be honest, mine too.

this was not as expected

Humor, wit, drama, descriptive prose....there is something here and more for the serious hunter as well as the sport. Don't miss the article on the dove as a gamebird. I was rolling on the floor laughing. The author says all the things we experienced plus more about this bird. Remember, this is a collection of short stories mostly for enjoyment. You don't compare it with a book by one author. Considering that, the editor has been successful. I found a couple of entries that were not my cup of tea but plenty that was and everyone should find enough to entertain them.
