I used this to make fire starters. I melted the wax and poured it into egg carton cups with dryer lint and twine for a wick. works great for many applications.

This is a great product. I’ve been using it for a while to make my fire starters for my Hipcamp campers. It’s the product is very easy to melt down and pour over my egg crates. Just make sure you use a double pot. To melt it down.

Good wax for my jam. I made some blackberry jam and a few jars did not seal. I called my mom and she said a simple solution was to open the cans and put wax on them. It worked beautifully.

I’m in a rural area without easy local access, so ordering online made sense. This is standard Gulf Wax and it works exactly as expected. The issue is price. I paid about $8.25 for 1 lb, but it’s $3.97 at Walmart (or 2 lbs for $7.94). I get that shipping and convenience are part of the cost, but it still felt steep for such a basic item. If shipping is the main reason for the markup, I wish that was more clearly communicated, and I’d also love to see better pricing when buying multiple boxes. That said, this one’s on me too. I should’ve checked local pricing before clicking “Buy Now.” Lesson learned: do a little homework and don’t assume everything on Amazon is automatically a fair price. The product is fine. The price just surprised me.
