Fixed a "slowed down" ceiling fan
Our large ceiling fan still worked, but had slowed down noticeably on high speed, which is the only speed we use. Troubleshooting/research led to the possibility of a faulty capacitor. This cap matched the original's 4uf/6uf/6uf. Even though the original cap voltage rating was higher, this new one is still suitable for any household ceiling fan application. Installed it by copying the original connections and the fan was good as new.

Fixed a 5 year old ceiling fan calera-0020160 from running slow.
Fixed a 5 year old ceiling fan calera-0020160 from running slow. Installation is simple if you are mechanical. Will need 2-3 smaller wire nuts.

Works Well!
It worked well! This was used in a Hunter Bay ceiling far. The high setting was not working and the medium and low speeds were the same...slow. Once installed with wire nuts and electrical tape for security, everything worked as good as new! This would have gotten 5 stars but its only 16AWG wire where my fan has 14AWG wiring. I hope it lasts.

Easy fix for my small ceiling fan
The blades on my ceiling fan were barely spinning so I decided to fix it myself after Google told me what the problem most likely was. Saved me lots of money and hassle not having to take down my fan and replace. Lots of videos are posted online how to replace this part.

So far so good
The capacitor pictured wires were color coded differently from what I received. I ordered the product based on what was pictured and was not pleased when I received it and the wires were color coded differently. The capacitor came with no packaging or instructions. I'm a DIY'er and fairly comfortable working with electricity (But I'm not an electrician), it was fairly easy to figure out the correct wiring but it still makes you a little uneasy. With all that said it did work as advertised.

Fan finally works as it should.
For almost three years I always wondered why my ceiling fan was slow and loud. I could hear the electricity coursing through it from the next room. Easily replaced this one capacitor and now the fan is strong, quiet and ALL speeds work.
