Better size than KIWI - Just as good.
These look and behave identical to the KIWI brand but these are almost twice as big. They are the perfect size for my size 9 Frye harness booties (woman size 9). Also, just learned something thanks to the directions on the package. "Place 1/2 to 3/4 inch from front of shoe." The Kiwi brand - which I've considered the best of the bunch - are so small that when you place them on the ball area of the shoe there is more than an inch to the top or front of shoe. That's why it's hit or miss on if they are going to stay put. Too much drag to close to the edge of the slip pad - especially on carpet and the small ones are pulled right off.Sure Sole comes in 3 sizes. Small looks like the standard KIWI size. Unless you wear a size 5 or 6 shoe, I would stay away from small and go with Sure Sole either med or large. My booties are not new so cleaning the sole was necessary.Sure Sole doesn't offer any instructions on how to clean the sole but another brand includes alcohol wipes for that purpose so I took my queue from them and wiped down my Frye soles with rubbing alcohol on cotton balls and then let them sit for 24 hrs to insure they were truly dry. I applied the pads and waited another 48 hours before I wore them. (instructions said wait 24 hrs) No issues at all with them staying put. I will buy these again.

They're Working Well Enough
I had worn holes in the soles of a couple of pairs of nice dress shoes. I used these shoe pads to patch them and prolong my use of these otherwise good shoes. It didn't seem to me that the adhesive of these pads was going to stand up to the considerable wear I put on my shoes. So, after cutting the pads to size, I smeared some household adhesive to them and put them into place. So far, they've held up quite well, although I can occasionally feel the edges catch on carpeted surfaces. Quite frankly, for the money these were worth a try even if they turned out to be an utter failure. Thankfully, they did not.

Very good, wish they were bit bigger?
I bought these to try to fix a hole in some very cheap but beloved flats to see if i can get them to last one more summer - I actually needed them to be a bit bigger (which is why they aren't getting a 5) but they are still much bigger than anything else I could find! I'd much rather trim something to the correct size than have one too small? That said, they seem sturdy, super sticky so they have stayed on well, and have a good traction on the bottom to prevent slipping. I like them - I wish they were in black, and i wish they were larger, but as they are they are really quite good.

A waste
This started peeling in under a week (after having cleaned and sanding the soles prior to adhering, and allowing the adhesive to set for 24 hrs.)The grip was not as sturdy as I'd hope for either, it's textured smooth plastic rather than rough or grippy rubber

Pads adhered well to the bottoms of my shoes. ...
Pads adhered well to the bottoms of my shoes. However, they provided no extra traction on wet and tile surfaces. The damage that they did to the my shoes upon removal did roughen the soles enough to provide the necessary traction, though.

Bad Product
This item is not worth buying. I purchased a pair and followed all the directions on the package and other best practices that I read from buyer feedback postings. Each pad fell off my shoe on the first day I wore them with the pads attached. They almost caused me to fall down a stairway because one pad came unglued as I was walking down the stairway.

Worthless - no traction on parking lot wet or dry. Then it fell off boot!
Completely useless. The negative reviews are true. Reading other reviews that pointed out shortcomings, I figured that couldn't be true with all the good reviews. I thought maybe others didn't clean their shoes/boot sole before putting this sole on it. Or maybe their soles weren't really flat. So I went to lengths to make this work. How'd I prepped the boots and applied these soles:I have brand new boots - riding type boots with flat man-made soles. I washed the boot bottoms first with soapy water. Dried them. Then cleaned boot bottoms again with rubbing alcohol to remove any trace of a problem or oil that might not let glue stick well. Dried boots thoroughly before applying these supposed anti-skid soles. Let the anti-skid glue "cure" for 24 hours before even putting boots on my feet.Day 1 / Test 1: Inside house on linoleum and wood floors. Result: No difference in traction. The sole material is not rubbery soft, it is hard. It's like plastic. No traction whatsoever on hard floors. (They did however catch on carpeting - because of the little nubby surface of the soles I assume.)Day 1 / Test 2: Wisconsin winter parking lot. FAIL. Zero increased traction on dry pavement. Zero increased traction on wet pavement. Zero increased traction in snow.Day 1 / Test 3: Walking through grocery store - one sole fell OFF my boot while walking.Epic failure. Sending remaining sole back to Amazon for refund. Barely worth the effort to do so.

Great for boots!
I bought these for a pair of new boots. They do what they are intended to do. I can now wear my boots without worrying about slipping and falling. Great product!
