Easy to use, fits perfectly in your snowmobile tool kit or the “top” drawer of your tool box. Must have for proper track tension.

This tool will save on belt wear and bearing wear. It is very easy to used and fairly accurate. For those complaining about the scale stickers peeling off, I agree, they should be etched on the metal. However, the distance scale is one to one with a ruler scale so if the decal falls off, just measure from the end of the device to the o-ring. The force scale is a simple linear spring, f=kx. On my device, 1"=21.5lbs or 2.5cm=9.75kg. So if that decal falls off, measure the distance the o-ring moved and calculate the force. No need to throw away or buy another.

Measurements need to be etched into the unit, not a sticker

This is the best tool I’ve ever found for track tension. This allows all the brands, makes & models to be checked and adjusted. Sewer recommended to me, and I will still recommend. The only improvement would be to have the scales on the body and not on the stickers, but sticker is durable and should lay awhile

I like how easy it is. You set one oring for the amount of pressure you need and one for the distance between the track and the rails.

This tool makes setting up a sled track a lot easier. I do expect that rubber o rings will need to be replaced periodically.

Like the item

It's always a good idea to check your sled's track tension about once a season, and this tool provides a nice gauge to remove the guess work. It's easy to use and easy to read. My only concern is that the sticker with the numeric scale on it has begun peeling off of mine, and once it falls off the gauge will be practically useless. Still, nice to have it around the garage.

Threw a (UTV) track last season because "eyeballing" track tension is - to be generous - inexact. Got this and found just how inexact. For the small cost of this little item, I have greater confidence out in the middle of nowhere in deep snow.
