Criticisms are mostly nonsense
Ok the clamping parts are indeed made out of plastic. These are light duty clamps. They are cheap. OK are we through that issue now? Fine. The other criticisms here I nearly avoided buying this for are hysterical nonsense.- “The plastic clip that makes the sliding part captive to the bar comes off easily or breaks.” Yes but if it didn’t I’d cut it off anyway, because half the time I’m using these as spreaders. Indeed they work great as a duo, one spreading the other clamping to lock something in place.- “The handle is hard to slide” Oh please it’s super easy you just TILT it and it goes. Far easier for one hand use than a clutch mechanism version.I forget the other criticisms thankfully but I’m happy to say these are nice and useful and I bought four. I got the Powertec 24” for sturdier parallel clamps but these are great for smaller lighter jobs. The better Bessey’s are more expensive and if you do this a lot OK get those. But learn your tools and be fair in reviewing them.

Lightweight, strong and small. More surface area than a Tradesman or F style
Decent for smaller clamp ups. I have quite a few Bessey clamps. I use the Revos and the Tradesman (F style) clamps for 99% of my work as a hobbyist woodworker. I saw these, noticed how inexpensive they were, the good reviews and decided to give them a try. I bought four. I've used them a few times, mostly to check them out. I'm on the fence about them. They work better than I expected (strength) and they're light. I also like how small they are. I hate using an 18" clamp for a 6" glue up, or even worse, 6 of them. These will probably be good for small boxes where you want that surface area that you don't get from a Tradesman. So far I still gravitate to the Tradesman, but I can see finding certain applications that they are more suited to and getting another four of them in the future.UPDATE:As you probably know, different clamps come in handy for different scenarios. I find myself using these more and more for various assembly tasks. They are small, but that's what makes them useful for small tasks. I find them clunky to open and close, so I leave them open for easier "grab and use".

Work really good
They do a really good job for what they’re supposed to do. They are great for building somewhat small boxes and pulling box joints together in really hard wood with tight joints. I’m going to buy 2 more. They are also good for just clamping things together that fit in between them. They make a strong hold for glue joints in boxes also. I would definitely recommend these for anyone that needs some shorter clamps for doing their “glue ups “

Missing clip on one clamp
This purchase of Bessey uniklamps has been frustrating. I like the design of the clamps but One of the two clamps I ordered did not come with the small plastic clip that prevents the moving jaw from falling off - and that’s a pain to deal with during a glue up. I realize I could have returned it but all I need is a tiny plastic clip.l - returning it for that seems like a waste of energy(fuel & carbon from the additional transportation) and my time. But you can’t communicate anything except “return” to Amazon - not ”I have a small issue I need help with” and Bessey North America won’t respond to my customer service email asking where I can buy one. I don’t even want to try to get it free - I would buy a dozen if they sell them. But they won’t respond and they do not have a part number for it on their web site, so it’s impossible to order. I guess I need to deal with Jorgenson and not Bessey. It’s Adisappointing to be unable to resolve a small problem that makes an otherwise good and expensive tool harder to use.

By far my favorite clamp in the shop, to the point other small clamps are almost obsolete.
It's a light weight parallel clamp. I'll usually reach for it over any 6" f-style clamp, with or without a clutch unless I need a one-handed/trigger clamp. You'll have to be used to using clutchless clamps, but once you're comfortable it's a real dream to use.The clamp is reasonably deep. The Parallel target surface helps square up jobs and means I don't have to hit at a specific point. The only reasons I'll use other f-style clamps of the same sizes (ignoring trigger clamps) is either unusual ergonomic requirements or I'm doing a big glue up for a leg and I've used them all (and probably all of the gear clamps). It also functions as a tool for many router table jobs. You can use it to hold a piece safely with control. No build quality issues, I've never had one fail (but I've never been dumb enough to try and grease it or wax it. Clean the bar on *any* clamp with Tool Cleaner and/or Goo Gone if you need to). The clip at the end can come out. You can use a bolt if you need a replacement.I can only assume that some people just don't get it.

Missing parts and Customer Service is MIA (from Bessey)
Ordered 2 of these to grow my collection; I typically love these clamps for small casework and general clamping more than F style clamps. Overall, I find these clamps to be great light duty parallel clamps and they're typically my go-to for the most part. So, I recently decided to add to my collection and it's been disappointing. One of the clamps was missing the end clip which, is a small part but pretty key to the clamps use. It keeps the clamp jaw from falling off the bar which is only a minor issue in most cases. But it also keeps the clamp level and parallel to your benchtop which is a key feature of these clamps for small case work, boxes, etc. It's something that makes these clamps so useful.Issued a return and the replacement was ALSO missing the end clip. Looking at other reviews (after the fact) and it seems this is a common issue. Amazon won't let me request another replacement again on the same thing so it's just going back now :/Contacted Bessey customer service to see if they'd just send me a clip before returning to Amazon the first time. After 6 days I still haven't received a response. Sorry Bessey, but that's a fail. I have a whole wall of red and black clamps but I think as I add going forward, I'm gonna end up with some blue or orange now.
