These are exactly what I needed. Shipped out quickly and delivered right on time. Fully functional for all my needs, Allowed me to finish the one thing I had been holding off for so long on my motorcycle, unable to swap out my brakes and install a new rim and tire cause I couldn't reach the ring clips on the inside of the hub and there was no way to disengage the outer ring without taking the back one off first do to the way the washers press up against the hub plate, everything is so snug you have to unclip the back ring in order to push the whole assembly back to gain access to the clip in the front. This little tool helped me solve that without a fuss. Very happy with my purchase!! One happy customer here!!

This is a very poorly made tool. I was able to complete the job I needed to use it for, but I really wish I had spent a little more money for a better set.The problem is that the interchangeable piece is held on with a spring loaded clip that pushes the interchangeable snap ring remover up and away from the tool, making it tend to constantly fall apart while you try to use it. What should have taken me 10 seconds with normal snap ring pliers instead took a frustratingly long 15 minutes because I had to keep putting the tool back together.I'd highly recommend staying away from this particular tool as it's little more than junk fodder, or at the very least, will be very frustrating to use.

For my use, these retainer ring pliers will work fine but they are a cheap version of some better products. For ring expansion, the plier tips are held to the handle assembly with a pin/spring and lock tab arrangement. This works ok but still is a bit loose in operation. For ring contraction, the tip assembly comes off and moves to a second set of pins on the back of the pliers and nothing holds them on the pins but friction. They can easily fall off but if one is careful, work for the desired purpose. Once you take these out of the molded package they come in, don't count on getting the works back in easily. They fit between two thin plastic egg-crate type shells which don't appear to have been molded to fit tis particular design. A separate carrying pouch or case would be recommended. There are four sets of pin tip, two of which are curved and two which are straight. As mentioned, these work for what I have in mind but if I were using these on a daily basis, I would shop for something better.

Well, they don't suck. They're not the greatest, either. Functional, but a bit fiddly. The slip joint nut that holds the tips on the pliers is a bit loose, so the ends want to move around a bit while you are compressing the pliers handle. Makes removing a snap ring situated in a difficult place a bit complicated. Yes--they work. Yes, they are fairly well-made, but the engineering is a bit hokey. But, considering the price they are a good deal, especially if you are just a part-time or weekend mechanic. Professionals would buy Snap On or Erwin or something intended for industrial use. The price was fair, the quality was fair.

Where do I start with this product. It took about 10 minutes to figure out how to put everything all together. After putting it together, it performed what it needed to do. We used it on once, and it worked just fine. Second time, it was too short to reach the snap ring we were trying to take off. The pliers itself felt extremely flimsy to the point they were gonna break if I pressed too hard. I think next time, I will just put in some more money and get the better quality ones. I understand I will probably only use it once or twice in a while, but I rather not have to run to autozone midway to buy something that I know is not worth $20. So, save yourself the headache and get yourself something better, especially if you will be using it more than once.

I purchased this tool to replace an CV axel boot on my UTV. I did not want to spend much on this product as I knew that most likely I would only use it a few times.I liked the convenience of having multiple jaws to use with this tool to use on various snap rings in case I ever needed them. I thought the price was reasonable for this set. Upon receiving the tool I was impressed with it’s quality.
