Work very well
These work surprisingly well. One of my cats is a bully. I was at my wits end with her. I was honestly about to take her into the vet to see about getting her on some medication. These were the last resort. As soon as I put one on her, she seemed to be calmer. I have used the plug ins forever and they do a very good job. Combined with this collar, she has become much nicer. I read the other reviews about the collar not staying on, and I have not had that problem. My cat has been wearing one for almost a month, and it has stayed on the whole time. It also has not stopped working as others have said. It does not have any power or residue. The size is very adjustable. I only wish they came in different colors besides white.

Worth it, but have realistic expectations
I think it is a very good product. It was fairly easy to put on. I was concerned about using it because my cat has almost hung herself on a breakaway collar before. She was able to take it off after 5 or 6 hours of wear. She bit at it a lot and it didn't break into small pieces. The longer she worse it the less effective it became. I assume it was the fading scent. I use two plug in diffusers with it. It did calm my cat down, but she's especially grumpy and anxious, so it wasn't quite enough for her. It might be good for cats who just need it during thunderstorms. The scent was not strong enough for me to smell (which was nice since I can smell the plug in diffusers). Bottom line: worth the money, but may not calm your cat enough on its own. Photo is of bite marks after 3 weeks of use.

Works for one cat, not the other
It has no effect on my cowardly afraid-of-his-own-shadow cat, but it does have some effect on my boyfriend's super predatory cat. It doesn't calm her down as much as I had hoped, she still chases my cat or tries to outright attack him when we don't latch the door all the way, but she does it a lot less often than without the collar. Sometimes she even tries to play with my cat (but he's still traumatized and not having it, poor guy). We gave her 2 days between collars to give her fur a break and see if her calming down a little was more due to this collar or simply time and during those 2 days she was such a nightmare we determined that the collar definitely helps her attitude and we will definitely be getting more. I also like that since it's a collar, she has to smell the pheromone all the time no matter where she is in the house, which would not be the case with the plug-in versions and limited outlets.

Appears to take the edge off of skittish cat for 9-10 days max
I'm beginning to wonder if there is an expiration date for these collars that I am missing (or maybe prolonged heat in a stored warehouse reduces effectiveness) because the efficacy of this collar did not last anywhere near a month for my cat. I remember reading another reviewer mentioning 2 weeks, but I observed 9-10 days only. I made sure to have the collar inside her usual collar so that is was closer to her skin as instructed. I received the product on 7/19 and by 7/27 noticed my cat being alarmed once again by random little noises in the house, so put on a new collar on 7/28, which immediately and noticeably caused her to ignore sounds from the kitchen, etc. and return to a more normal, calm (not drowsy) state of behavior. So, what I love about this collar is that it DID take the edge off for my cat who has become much more aware and alarmed by common household noise. She has been recently diagnosed with FLUTD/ FIC, which is why I'm seeking a long term solution to help lower her stress. What I noticed that it did NOT do is last for more than 9-10 days, and also it did NOT help my cat during a thunderstorm. She quickly ran crying back to her spot in the corner of my closet. I have tried giving her the Pet Honesty calm treat, and yes just one treat pellet helps noticeably. I was hoping to use the collar as a replacement for the treats because you have to stay on top of anticipated noise and give the treat ahead of time. I did try the Bach's Rescue Remedy, I had purchased as another possibility. When I first noticed that the collar wasn't going to cut it during a thunderstorm, I rubbed 1-2 drops inside her ear flap making sure the liquid did not run down into her inner ear. That worked for the duration of the storm and quickly. Whew! I don't know how well the collar might work for a vet visit. It might do fine for the car ride there, but once arriving to the vet that has barking dogs, since it didn't work for the thunder, I don't have a lot of hope that it will be enough for that situation. So, I like this collar for daily help especially for a cat diagnosed with a stressed induced urinary health issue (FIC). I just wish it lasted for the full month because I'm not sure the price is as great as it first appears when you have to switch out a new collar every 9-10 days. I might try buying this in a local pet store to see if I get better results, going back to the expiration/storage issue being sent from a warehouse that I mentioned earlier.

Doesn't work!
I have used this collar for one of my cat because every once in awhile she has peeing outside of a litter box and being intense sometimes. Products really DOESN'T help as products say it does! I ALWAYS FEEL LIKE they are expensive for two plastic collars and I felt like I really was getting rip off for just plastic in the name of "Calming collar." So I switched it to something new and much reasonable price for under $15 *Calming Collar for Cats, 4 Pack Cat Pheromone Collar, 60-Day Each* It has little scent to it but IT WORKS!! My Kitty is much calmer and more loving and not pering outside of a litter box so far. It has been 3 weeks. So I highly recommend ditch this product cheating you with nothing but plastic and try other one. Far as price goes you have nothing to lose.

A miracle! But not quite break away.
So I have a very anxious little orange girl. She doesn’t have any behavioral problems luckily. She is just very skittish and nervous- especially around men. Seeing as I live with a man this was rather unfortunate. Every time my housemate would come home she would run to hide in my one drawer. It was so sad. She also would shy away from most stranger’s touch under most circumstances. I tried the diffusers but it didn’t seem to be making any difference. So I decided to try the calming collar. I wanted one that didn’t have any essential oils because I know those can be really bad for cats. And I didn’t want it to have any scent because if I can smell it it must smell so much stronger to a cat. So anyways. I got this. It’s a pretty unassuming white collar. It says it is ‘break away’ but I put it on a stuffed animal and gave it some good tugs and it didn’t unlatch. So I did what another reviewer did on a different collar and zip tied the collar onto an actual break away collar. It really works wonders. She seems so much calmer and more at ease. She didn’t run and hide when my housemate came home, and she is accepting pets from people other than just me now. I hadn’t realized how anxious she had gotten until I added this collar. And it doesn’t sedate her, she’s still full of energy and spunk, but she’s so much less skittish, and I’m so happy. It’s only been a couple days, but I’m very pleased with how well it’s been working for her.

Cat families, This Works!!
If you are having aggression problems with your cats, THIS WORKS! Our situation: Our older orange cat passed. We have two others. The younger, 4 yrs old, a calico, and the older, a 9 yr old black male, fixed. Anyone who has a calico knows that as part of their personality, they like to be the top kitty. Anyway, she began bullying the male and being aggressive toward him. We bought Feliway diffusers and saw almost no change. I researched collars and almost all of them had lavender essential oils, which is TOXIC TO CATS. I only found two that did not have the lavender. I put this collar on my female and it worked within the hour! I know the package says maybe two weeks, but this was immediate. It's been several days and she has become calm, is sleeping more, and has not taken any "runs" at the other cat. He has noticed the difference also and now is less nervous and doesn't avoid her like the plague as before. I can't recommend this enough. Perhaps the feliway enhances the effect, but really, I don't think so. Not sure. As far as the collar falling off, yes I'm sure it would. There is no buckle as with most collars. It has two "tabs" that fit into slits in the collar. I just put a tiny cable tie, a plastic tie wrap that locks when you pull it and then I cut the end off. Other than the calming and contented demeanor of my calico, I've noticed that she is more cuddly and desirous of pets. Before she would begin wanting to play with claws quickly, instead of cuddling, so that's great too. In fact, she's sleeping next to me as I type this. Try it, you'll be very happy. I am.

Worth a try
We brought in a new cat, and needed help calming the whole crew down. I was seeing no difference with the multi cat plug ins, and wanted to try these. Our big boy Ragdoll can be a bully because he wants all of our attention - pure jealous motives. I put a collar on all 3 cats. Results were: Aslan- it worked great for about 2 weeks on him. Then nothing. He was able to get it off too easily. Chloe- she’s our anxious scared of her own shadow cat. I was looking forward to seeing results for her. Nope, not a thing. Polly- the new girl who was pretty chill already, but also nervous adjusting to everything in her new world. It did seem to help her get over the adjustment phase and build her confidence a little bit. I was disappointed that the collar didn’t work very long on Aslan. He’s a big boy, but only weighs about 12lbs. I feel it should have lasted a full 30 days. Because of this and poor results on Chloe, I wouldn’t purchase these again.

Finally a more content cat!
I bought these after moving my cat from the desert of California to England and suddenly having a dog as a roommate. My cat was having trouble adjusting and had begun scent marking. I bought these and have seen a world of difference! In only 2 weeks of wear he has stopped marking and is way more confident exploring the new house and walking into rooms even with the dog present. They are made to break easily so as to not choke cats but I haven't had any trouble with that. It may be that I have a less active cat (although young, he is more of a hunter/stalker than the run around/zoomies type) so it has not come off yet. It has come loose once or twice but not enough for it to slip over his head and get lost before I can readjust it.
