Love this libro
I’ve been reading this chapter book with my 8 yo son at night. I love the Spanglish sprinkled throughout since that is how we speak at home. Also adore the fact that the story is set in Colombia, so he gets to read about a different school and country experience.

This is a great book about a girl growing up in Bogotá
This is a great book about a girl growing up in Bogotá. My daughter was interested in Juana's school, which is a little different than the US school.

Learn Spanish As You Read!
This is a really lovely story on its own but the fact that it takes place in Colombia is an added plus. I also love that this book scatters Spanish words throughout the chapter book. It is perfect for those of you who are trying to teach/nurture another language to your little ones. My daughter loved it.

Kid's book unlike any other
I bought this book for my niece and nephew and read it to them before bedtime (we read it over a few bedtime occasions because the book is longer than I expected, which is great!). The content of the book is unlike any other. We love the Spanglish and the family themes of Disney World and Colombia :) Now for the holidays, I'm going to buy several of the author's other books because the kids loved this book so much!

Must read.
One the best books I have read to my kids. I’m from Bogota - Colombia And the story tells how is life for a kid in Colombia, the value of family and the importance of learning a new language. My kids loved it. So entertaining.

I was really hoping for a truly bilingual book that would engage my daughter. This book is cute, but its Spanish is limited to a few words thrown in kind of haphazardly. I appreciate that it is about a little Colombian girl in Bogotá and that there are some cultural elements, but those too are just a few.

Too much for a 6yr old to read
Too much for a 2nd grader in Waldorf school.
