How do I know If this filter can fit my spa?

Hello Susan Bennett, thanks for your question, follow the steps to match your spa: 1) Check the compatible Codes. If you can't find your code, then measure the height, outer diameter and hole diameter, and compare with this filter. 2) Size of this filter: Width: 5" (12.5cm) Height: 13 5/16"(33.8cm) Top: Open 2 1/8" (5.4cm) Bottom: Open 2 1/8" (5.4cm) Sq Ft: 25 sq ft 4oz Media

do you take off the small band in the center before using?

No need to do that. It stays on to help maintain the filter media integrity.

Will this fit Bluewhale spa standard filter?

Hi. I have a blue whale spa (princeton 100 jet) and these filters work fine. They are slightly bigger but they still fit, in fact, they no longer move around which makes them easier to put in. There are more fins than the original also. I am happy with them as a replacement. Hope this helps
