These Pasonomi X9 Plus earbuds are absolutely fantastic!!
These Pasonomi X9 Plus earbuds are absolutely fantastic!! They have excellent sound, good heavy bass without muddying the mids and highs and incredible volume, with a charging case that can double as an external battery for your other devices. All this for less than $30? Really?! Folks, this is a no-brainer. Get them, and I’m sure you’ll love them as much as I do. I tested about 10 other brands in the $20-$35 category, stemmed and non-stemmed, large, small etc. and these are easily the best sounding of the bunch. Pasonomi has really impressed me with their great sounding and budget friendly offering. If you would like more context on my budget-friendly wireless earbuds quest and what brought me to these Pasonomi earbuds, please continue below.First, let me provide a little background. Until now, I have always preferred the sound of the wired headphones to Bluetooth, in part because wired headphones have been around forever. As a result, they are well-established technology and very easy to find. There are vast varieties of headphones, in different styles, sizes and colors. There are headphones to satisfy virtually every taste you can imagine. Because of this, it is not too difficult to find a really good pair of headphones for very little money. By contrast, in my experience, Bluetooth headphones tended to cost more, and, at least for the headphones I tested, never seemed to have the same sound quality as the wired versions. Now, I understand that there were probably some very good sets of Bluetooth headphones available for a premium price. But, I was not willing to spend $200 - $300 for a pair of headphones that I was going to be using indoors and outdoors, for exercising, cutting the grass, working at my desk and everything in between. I needed good quality (sounding) headphones that were durable and inexpensive, in case they got lost or damaged as a result of all of the use I gave them. Because I use headphones in virtually every aspect of my life, I have sets of headphones in every place I frequent. There are sets at home, sets at work, sets in the car, etc. As a result, I never had to worry about bringing headphones with me wherever I went, because I had them everywhere I spent any significant time. For years, I delayed upgrading my cell phone because I lamented the fact that headphone jacks were removed from newer models. Upgrading my phone meant I would have to find an alternative to my wired headphones. When I did finally upgrade my phone, I set out to try and find similar quality and value in a Bluetooth/wirless headset.Fast forward to today. Let me begin by saying that I have tested about 10 different earbud models over the last two weeks. I started by trying to do some research on what was available and to see if there was any consensus on brands, styles, sizes, colors, features, etc. What I found was both reassuring and frustrating at the same time. I quickly discovered that there are literally tons of different options available out there, and more being added every day. So, this was a good sign that, like the wired headphones, many more options meant that the odds of my finding a quality pair of earbuds at an affordable price were better than I thought initially. Unfortunately, for the budget conscious consumer, there is no real consensus about the “best” wireless earphones out there. Oh, there are tons of videos and articles evaluating earbuds. And there even seems to be some similarity of opinions when you are talking about the best earbuds available, when price is not an obstacle. Brands like, Apple, Sony, Sennheiser, etc. all seem to be in the mix when talking about the earbuds that people most want and set the standards by which all others are measured. Unfortunately, they are also extremely expensive. The price alone makes them prohibitive for most people. So what we find is that the articles and youtube videos begin to evaluate the earbuds based on certain price points. You’ll see plenty of evaluations of the best earbuds under $100, or $50. Providing these evaluations based on various price points is, of course, helpful. But what I found was that when they say under $100, it generally meant units that were either $100 or right below. The same standard seemed to exist for the evaluations of the best sub $50 earbuds. And while $50 may not seem like much money to the true audiophiles or people who don’t mind spending money on technology, it is still a good chunk of change to spend on items that I want to keep in my car, in my house and at work. Just like I did with my wired headphones, I want to have them accessible for my use at all of the places where I spend a great deal of time and I do not want to have to remember to carry them around with me at all times. Plus, at some point, I’ll need to be buying sets of earbuds for my children and wife as well. So, as you can imagine, $50 a pop adds up very quickly when you are talking about buying 6 or 7 sets of earbuds. As a result, ideally, what I really needed was a good quality set of earbuds that were more in the $25-$35 range. Unfortunately, there do not seem to be many articles or videos targeting earbuds at that price point. Oh, you’ll find a mention of a $35 (on sale) set in some of these evaluations, but they tended to be the exception rather than the rule. So, I set out to find a pair of earbuds that would work for me, both in terms of sound quality and price.I tested at least 10 different sets after reading hundreds of reviews online. Since I could not hear them before ordering, I decided that I would not order any earbuds that averaged less than 4.5 stars. As a result, I tested earbuds from MPow, Aukey, Enacfire among others. Despite the positive reviews, a few (that will go unmentioned) were just downright terrible. I could not believe people were so favorable in their reviews when the earbuds had extremely muffled sounds with no real clarity. That does not even take into account the earbuds that kept malfunctioning in different ways, never holding a connection. Several other sets were quite decent and, until I tried the Pasonomi earbuds, thought I would be ok with them. They did not “wow” me, but the sound quality was decent enough for me to be ok with keeping them. Then, I caught the Pasonomi earbuds on a lightning sale on Amazon, and everything changed. I have a couple of songs that I use to test the earbuds. I put on a song with good heavy thumping bass and some punchy mids and highs. I tend to like good heavy bass and clear mids and highs. Often at this price point, you are sacrificing one or the other. From the first few beats of the song, I knew this was it! The bass was incredible and the mids and highs were nice and clear. Now, the clarity of sound is not on par with some high end headphones, like my Grado SR 80s, but it was excellent for what I desired. In addition to the sound quality, these earbuds can get very loud. I like loud music and I rarely raise the volume on these earbuds past the half way point. None of the other sets I tested can compare. I have been using these headphones for about two weeks now, and I am just as happy with them today as when I first heard them. If they are even remotely durable, then they will be an absolute steal and I will be buying more in the future. Take my advice. Order them, save some money and enjoy!

Truly Wireless is the way to go!
I've started collecting these since I discovered my love of truly wireless chi-fi headphones (TWS). These are a little bit different than the models that I have played around with before since the ear canal seal tips are a little bit shallower than what I'm used to. Nevertheless the way that these are moulded really do conform well to the shape of my ear and go deep enough into my ear canal that I don't have to worry about them falling out. Also, these guys got something really right ....clearly visible L and R on each earbud so that you know which side goes where - thank you! They last about 6 hours charged and the sound is very nice. Make sure you have the right tip and play around with the different sizes to achieve a good sound isolation and sufficient (not exaggerated) bass response. The charging port is USB C (yes!) and it has a 2200mah battery that you can use to charge your phone or charge the buds. Inside the charging case three lights light up to let you know the overall charge status of the case which I thought was a nice touch. Pairing was easy and fast. Below are my thoughts based on listening to various types of music through these buds. TL;DR - they are good buds and worth the buy plus the price is nice. For listening to stand up comedy & audiobooks - the midrange is very prominent and the voices I heard of the narrators were very clear and full. On one audiobook I did hear the barest hint of sibilance which was a little bit harsh but this could have been more due to the recording or it could be a slight mid-high frequency response bump. The detail was incredibly sharp though and I could hear the individual voices in audiences during stand up sets that I had not really noticed before. Very detailed sound. Keep the volume at reasonable levels and you can listen for a long time.Instrumental music: Strunz and Farah Primal Magic Album: The first track, Bola, is a great test of imaging and the ability to reproduce instruments with proper separation at both higher and lower frequency ranges. Instrument separation was fine. Guitars sounded excellent but I did notice that the bass was not super pronounced or in your face. There is a nice balance with good detail and I enjoyed listening but this might not be good if you are addicted to bass. The bass guitar was there, but, it didn't smack you in the face (or ears). Track 2, Twilight at the Zuc, was also fun to listen to. I like the sound of these buds with these tracks.Rock: Thornley - Come Again - Guitars sound amazing and bass is present but not over the top. The way this song is mastered I did noticed a little bit of peakiness in the frequency response. It's not a deal breaker, but, ease off on the volume or you might want to download an EQ app to massage the upper frequencies a tiny bit to smooth them out. The sound is good, but be careful with your hearing.Rock: Tokio Hotel - World Behind My Wall - Bill's vocals sound really amazing through these buds. Drums and bass are there and it just sounded balanced and sweet to my ears - no peakiness on this track!Rock: Thompson Twins - King for a Day. This song is also good to test instrument separation. Overall the buds did great here and I was able to pick out details and instruments. Oddly, the bass on this track just works really well. No peakiness, just nice.Trance: Art of Trance - Monsoon. The bass didn't tickle my ears but the syths and the vocals were just heavenly. I had a big smile on my face and these earbuds really sounded excellent with this track. Sweet!

They are great...but keep the instructions!
I received this on Sunday and it worked great, sounded great, and fit great, but I hadn't even had it a week and on Friday, the right bud just stopped working right after it told me the battery was low and promptly shut down. It then wouldn't do anything after that. The left bud charges to full, and connects to my phone, but the right, it won't charge, it won't pair with the left, and it won't connect with my phone now. I'm pretty sad and disappointed, because they worked so wonderful at first, and since the ear phone jack on my phone doesn't work anymore it's the only way I can listen to my music by using Bluetooth. I'd send them back, but I stupidly threw away the box they came in. I just have the charging case, and I don't know if I can return it without box.Follow up, I kept messing with them and finally got them both to pair with each other and the phone, after examining the instructions, and jumping through hoops. I had to end up resetting them and putting them back in the charge box, completely a couple of times as it said in the instructions...still don't know if they were supposed to do what they did originally, but they seem to be working now. If anyone reads my review, remember this one thing! Do yourself a favor and KEEP, KEEP ,KEEP the instructions!
