We are in the middle of a complete remodel/addition, doing all of the work ourselves, only on weekends, and paying cash as we go. So we appreciate easy installations and things that work like they are supposed to. :-) Now almost into our 2 year of this enormous undertaking, we have had to be very creative with our budget, planning, coordination and design. We want to install a frameless shower door and surround for this master bath that will cost between $3000-$5000. With a remodel of this magnitude, we have had to be smart about when and where to put the money. In this instance, we decided to wait on the frameless glass shower and are using this track system for a shower curtain. As you can see from the photos the shower only has wall on 2 sides. We needed something that would wrap around the other unprotected 2 sides. This system is PERFECT!!! I bought only the one kit/set and we were able to get two tracks out of it. We installed one tack for holding the protective shower curtain, that hangs on the inside of the shower stall, and the 2nd track runs along the outside for hanging the decorative panel, used to beautify and hide the inside curtain. My also husband has also installed the wood valence that runs along the ceiling on the two open sides as means for concealing the track system. He made the wood valance the same width (thickness) as what the crown molding will be, so that once the crown molding is installed it will appear to be one continuous line from wall to wall. As you can see the bathroom isn't quite finished, but at least we can use the shower while we are still hard at work. Because this turned out so well I am absolutely fine with holding off on the glass for the shower for at least a couple of years so that we can use those hard earned elsewhere for the time being. The tracks were super EASY to install and they function beautifully No mishaps or problems of any kind and they have been in operation now for a few months. I should tell you that my husband and I are almost 60 years old and we have never done any kind of remodeling in our almost 40 years of marriage, so when I say that this track system was an easy installation, what I means is that for most you it would be more of a REALLY, REALLY, easy installation. :-)

I used this type of curtain track when I lived in the UK. It's simple, strong and easy to fit and remove and most importantly, flexible. I couldn't find these anywhere in the US, but knew it was what I needed to add curtains to my recessed dining room window to help reduce the heat load from the afternoon Texas sun. Thank you Amazon and Curtains2bedding! On receipt, I unrolled the track from the package, straightened it out by hand bending (it'll retain some small variations from perfectly straight, but it's not an issue), then measured, cut with a small hand saw and trimmed the flash off the end with a small knife. I measured out the support locations and made sure there were supports either side of the bend radius to keep that radius in place. The track just positions over the support and is held in place by rotating a locking lever (see my photo uploads). The hooks just clip over the track. Put them on the curtain first (I used IKEA drapes as they are designed to work with this type of track), then clip onto the track. The fixed end hook holds the curtain in place at the end of the track and covers any rough cutting of the end (!). The curtain glides effortlessly around the track. If you do get a rough slide (heavy curtains), apply some furniture polish to the upper edge and it'll slide like skates on ice. These did the job perfectly and at a great price!

LOVE the track! Easy to install, really long (AWESOME for the 13 feet of curtains I needed to hang as a room-divider), and simple to understand and use. I had to buy drapery hooks to hang the curtain from the curtain hooks that glide along the track (no big deal--they aren't that pricey). My only complaint and only reason for 4 instead of 5 stars is that I ran out of the glider curtain hooks--I only needed 7 more hooks. They have extras available that you can buy online here on Amazon, but it's like $10 for a pack of 10. Come on... $1 per tiny plastic hook? Meh. Granted, I used almost the full length of track, which I'm pretty sure almost no one does, and, since it's for a room-divider, I wanted it hooked to the curtain every three inches for stability of being pulled back and forth several times a day. So, in the product's defense, I'm probably just a special case. But aside from that minor annoyance I have no complaints about the way it performs. I just love it! So glad we found it, even if we did have to buy more parts afterwards.

I installed this track on my ceiling to partition off my laundry nook. I am thrilled with the results. Installation and set up was straightforward. I easily bent the track for a 90 degree turn, and I was able to cut the track to size with my heavy duty kitchen scissors. I wasn't sure about the attachment method to the curtain, but I just slipped the clips into the curtain rod tabs at an angle. When I put the clips on the track, the top of the curtain hung fine. And, the clips slide smoothly across the entire track. For my purpose, I'm only concerned with the appearance from one side. If you need it to look good from the 'backside' too, you'll have to be ok seeing a white wavy plastic strip and clips. I've attached photos showing the track mounted to my ceiling. Note the backside photo shows how the track can be wavy between supports.

At first the instructions were sort of difficult to understand, but once I unpacked everything and looked over all the parts they made sense. Its actually pretty easy to install - I out it on the ceiling and it works well. Be careful not to tug on whatever curtain you hang too hard - a few clips came undone but it was pretty easy to fix. The curtain clips glide very smoothly along the track so you really don't have to pull hard. I set mine up in a continuous arc so the fact that the whole track is rolled up when it arrives is not a big deal. I can see however that it would be hard to get it to straighten out it you wanted a straight line on the ceiling. It wouldn't be a problem for a wall-mounted application.

The track is difficult to shape into a smooth continuous oval to mount over a clawfoot tub. I had to make a cornice to cover up the unsightly wavy track. I installed ceiling connectors every 12 inches in the straight sections and the corner connectors ended up being around 8 inches apart from the surrounding connectors. Before I began I uncoiled the track laid it straight on the carpet placing heavy tiles on the entire track to help straighten it. I left it for 4 hours before I installed it. It would have been extremely helpful if the package came with a template for a clawfoot tub. It was difficult to get the curves correct to follow the lines of the tub so the shower curtain would hang properly and the track would look as nice as possible. I purchased two tracks and I am going to return one of them because it was just too much trouble to shape the track and even after hours of doing so it doesn't look that great. That being said the gliders work flawlessly. They move effortlessly around the track and make little to no noise. I give the product 5 stars for innovation but 3 stars for application. However, with just a little more thought to the design with regards to installation, the product could be 5 stars in every aspect. To be fair I am 54 years old with waning patience and hand strength.

The plastic/PVC hooks don't always glide well on the PVC track, at least not for our lightweight, short, cotton curtains. I used a small paintbrush to dab some mineral oil (baby oil) on the parts of the track where the hooks grip. It took around 5 minutes, and now the curtains ZOOM! (I thought about using silicone spray lube, but I've heard mixed reports about whether it makes PVC gummy over time. Mineral oil seemed a bit more inert, so I tried that. No promises on long term results-- but so far so good.) The planning took a lot longer than the installation, but I'm glad I took the time. I measured things several times, marked it out on paper, and then marked it on the ceiling in pencil. Before installing, we spent some time spent carefully bending the track in reverse to straighten it-- it was shipped as a tight coil, which left a lot of curvature. As the instructions say, soaking the track in warm water helps loosen the curves, and I'm pretty sure setting it outside on a sunny day would have helped (but alas, it's winter). After installation, the end result is a nicely curved, fairly smooth, ceiling-mounted track curtain rod. It was relatively easy to install-- with heavy curtains you WILL need some kind of anchors for a ceiling mount, but for our lightweight application it held up fine with just screws fastened directly into drywall. There were a few sections of the track that did not look straight or smoothly curved, so after a few days I went back and adjusted it. I worked from the center of the track and smoothed out the wiggly sections by easing the track from the center to closer to the ends; as I worked, I made small adjustments to where the ceiling anchors clipped into the track: if there seemed to be excess track, I smoothed it over and clipped a different spot onto the anchor. I used these to put a small curtain around the top of my daughter's bunk bed, just for kicks. Now she's got her own hide-out-- fun!

This is a terrible item I am very disappointed that I made the decision to purchase it for my patio door. I needed a ceiling mounted track for a very light sheer curtain. I opted for this item because the description and reviews stated it was a 'quiet' option as compared to traditional metal tracks, as well as, the option to cut it to size. My patio doors are approximately 12 feet wide. This purchase decision of mine was a big mistake. Although the directions indicate the plastic track can be mounted on the ceiling, I want to state clearly that this product does not work as a ceiling mount. My first attempt to install the curtains as ceiling mounted was a total disappointment because the plastic clip on gliders would not hold the weight of the sheers and they popped off the track when we tried to open/close them. Again I mention that the curtains I used are unlined cotton sheers. With the second try we installed to the wall. This cost me extra time and labor as my cornice was designed for ceiling mount. I had to have this removed to have the track installed. Once done, and the curtains were hung, when we tried to open/close the track kept getting stuck. After tugging past the first couple sticking points we realized that the curtains gets stuck at every Keylock support; so basically the more Keylocks used the more your curtain will get stuck. There is no 'smooth glide'. This is a terrible option for hanging curtains (ceiling or wall mount) I would not advise anyone use it.

Habe für die Studenten Wohnung meines Sohnes eine Erker Vorhang Lösung gesucht - und gefunden! Wirklich einfach zu montieren und funktioniert perfekt. Hätte ich das vorher gefunden dann hätte ich alle Vorhänge mit diesem System gemacht... für Altbau Wohnungen ohne Rollläden super, da die Schiene perfekt läuft und der Vorhang durch die langen Aufgang-Schieber wirklich nach oben die Gardine aufrecht hält; so kann man den Raum richtig dunkel bekommen. Klare Kaufempfehlung!

This is the best thing ever! I have just moved into a new house where I had to install my own straight, ceiling-mounted curtain tracks and where I live (Luxembourg), these things cost an arm and a leg. So I took a chance on this one and I do not regret it one bit! It arrived this morning, and it took only an hour and a half to install, clean (after drilling, etc) and hang up my curtains. I only ordered for one room to try, but I do have a lounge and a second bedroom that need curtains, so I'll be ordering this track again soon. I just wanted to share a few tips: - The instructions are pretty clear but I did have to go over them a few times to make sure I had the left and right, top and reverse attachments and bits in order (I didn't want to have to undo and redo the work). - The track itself is rolled quite tightly into a coil when it's in its own packaging. Don't be shy when applying a bit of force to straighten it out. I was being quite gentle as I didn't want to bend it the wrong way then have to bend it back into a straight line again, but I found there really is no need to worry about that. - The track is flexible and once it is uncoiled and you are beginning to bend it into shape, I found it best to wait a few minutes to see how the shape of the track "settles" because of its elasticity. You may want to focus on fine tuning the shape in an area or two to get best results, otherwise it won't be as you want it when you begin to attach the track onto the keylock supports. - #5 masonry drill bit was used for the holes (hope that helps! It's probably just me, but I couldn't find any reference to which size drill bit to use, but then again, I'm hardly a DIY expert.) - I used a sharp pair of garden shears to cut the track down to size. With a bit of pressure, they cut smooth and in one go. I found this better than using a saw, etc. All in all, this fantastic product saved me a bundle, in terms of extensive costs, effort and hassle! I was worried about the lounge windows before trying this, but now I know the task will be super easy. I highly recommend this product!!

This is great! We weren't sure how we would afford a curtain track for our bay window but this was the perfect solution. Good value, fit perfectly and was long enough for ours and bigger windows. Bit tricky to straighten but when left for a while under some weights, that was it ready to go.

Für meinen Erkerfenster-Wintergarten war die flexible Vorhangschiene die einzige kostengünstige Möglichkeit um einen Vorhang anzubringen. Das Anbringen ging zu zweit auch recht einfach und es hält seit mittlerweile 2 Jahren sehr stabil. Die Optik ist unauffällig und stört mich überhaupt nicht. Ich bin auf jeden Fall zufrieden!
