Reliable and compact
I'm happy with this lightweight replacement for my heavy old Canon model. It might not be as well built but it is faster, easier to move and saves space in my office. Print quality is excellent, and the WiFi link is very handy.

Adequate
Print quality is OK. We've had Canon pixma printers before and I'm sure they were better but it's fine for text and CAD drawing prints. Not impressed with the scan function but it's not going to get used that much. One press copy function is OK when using text/letters but is basically scan & print, so photos aren't great. Neat good looking copier and set up wasn't too stressful.Overall, we've had better Canon printers.

A good all rounder
Having read the reviews I was a bit unsure if I had bought the right machine. Having upgraded from another Canon PIXMA, I actually found the set up process a doddle. It really is quite straightforward. The print cartridges clip in but make sure you hear a click when you press the cartridge into position. The next thing to do is download and install the Canon Print app on your mobile. Turn on the printer. After clicking the Agree buttons, the app looks for the printer. Click okay. The app automatically then identifies the WiFi router. Enter the passcode for the router on your phone. Aside from tweaking your personal preferences on the printer, you're ready to go.Some people have found the digital screen on the right hand side of the printer as being too small. I must admit, sometimes I had to squint to read what the screen said. But actually, it is quite intuitive and there really isn't anything wrong with it. I've not had a go with the QR button yet so I'm not sure whether it's a necessary gimmick.Would I recommend this 3-in-1 printer? Absolutely yes. I think it's a decent halfway between the heavy-duty office workhorses and the low end home printers. A good all rounder.

Best printer I have had!
WOW! this printer is the best I have ever used. I do card making and I need a printer that works all the time. This printer has never let me down. It automatically detects if I am printing card to use the tray at the back or paper from the bottom tray. I use 260gsm thickness one sided gloss card and it takes it very well, I have also used 300gsm matt card and again no problems. The only issue I have had is with the LCD screen, it started to have lines appear which come and go though could be because I travelled with the printer and may have done some damage in the heat. It doesn't stop the printer from working though and I can still use the menus fine. Setting up the printer was easy and direct connection is useful when I used this in a hotel without a router. The inks that came with the printer lasted ages!! I was printing pictures a lot so was surprised. I'm now using non official inks and the printer recognises them as genuine and they work just as good for a cheaper cost.If you are looking for a decent printer it's worth paying more and getting this one. I took a LOT of research in choosing this printer and I was not wrong.

Canon printers are the best
I have had a Canon Pixma for a number of years; this was an upgrade. The ink is not cheap, but the printer/ copier / scanner is fantastic and I would recommend. It also looks like Kit from Knight rider when printing. Printing without the Hassle (Hoff).

Review based on seller
Bought this printer and it was sent with a 2 pin power cable (without an adapter). I then asked if this item should be coming with a 3 pin (UK) cable, where the answer was yes. So I returned the item and ordered it again. This time, I got a 2 pin power cable again, with a 3 pin adapter. Annoying as it was, I accepted as I needed the printer. But now this 2 pin power plug with the adapter keeps tripping the electric, so now I'm unable to use the printer. Very frustrating!!! I've had to order a separate 3 pin power cable in the end.Printer review: Fantastic printer overall. Beautiful and sleek. Love that I can discretely feed paper from the bottom tray, as well as feed paper from the normal back tray. Print quality is very good. Wifi connection is quick and solid.

Printer
After a long, over complex initial setup time it does work very well. It was quicker to connect my laptop but desktop took ages. Good quality printing, quiet and fast.
