Review: Wow. Amazing desk. Do NOT let the two-piece surface deter you. - I bought this for $250 in May of 2023, about a year ago, and it's probably the single best purchase I've ever made on desertcart. As of April 2024, this desk is now only $200. Foremost - do NOT let the fact that the surface comes in two pieces deter you from purchasing this. This desk is extremely stable and study. The desk surface is completely scratch resistant, don't worry about writing too hard on it and leaving indentions. Yes, the reason they can make this desk so cheap is because they can ship it in a much smaller box by splitting the surface in two. However, the seam is far back enough so that you'd never even remember that it's there. From front to seam, it is 18.75 In. Unless perhaps you're using it for large paper-based art. If so, then yes, the seam would be susceptible to leaving holes in paper were a pencil to forcefully run across it. I've never once had that problem, but there is indeed an indention. If you plan to use a computer on this desk as I do for work, then the value and quality of this product is unlike anything else on this website. Competitors of lesser quality are often nearly twice the price. The stability is honestly hard to believe. Better and much cheaper than IKEA for sure (I love IKEA, hard for me to say that), and I believe the standing desk at my company's office is name-brand veridesk - it's as stable as that if not moreso, even on carpet, at the highest level of elevation. I am 5'10" and the highest it can go is still too high for me. I have had it for a year, and have raised&lowered it automatically 5-6 days a week with no issues since I first bought it. I do cardio in the mornings before work, and usually stand until lunch and sit from 1pm-5pm. No problems whatsoever. Assembly was easy, though be careful about over-tightening some of the screws before the others. I feel like doing so improperly would make the entire thin desktop bow inwards. Loosely place all the screws, them carefully tighten afterwards proportionally. Great sized workspace, the cherry red is very stylish, great value even when I bought it for 30% more than it is now. Whoever engineered this deserves a raise, and whoever is selling it needs a high five.
Review: Good cost, pretty quick and easy to assemble solo. - I bought this desk mid March 2020 so I could work from home a little more easily (we have standing desks in the office and I had gotten used to it). I'm short AF and most set-height standing desks are too high for me, so I wanted a cheaper standing desk with adjustable heights that could fit me. The entire assembly process was pretty straightforward and I was able to build the desk alone in about an hour and a half with a few breaks in between to answer emails and do a little bit of work. - All the little screws and dowels etc. were packaged in their own plastic baggies and I got a few extra parts. The different sized allen wrenches that the instruction manual referenced were included. All parts large and small (eg the table top, legs, baggies of screws, etc) were labeled with a letter which was used in the instruction manual, so pretty easy to follow. - One slightly tricky part of assembly is that the leg with the motor doesn't stand up on its own, so I ended up stacking the packing materials up to keep it upright while screwing in other parts. Not an issue IMO. - I did also have to use my own screwdriver to get some of the tinier screws in (e.g. to screw on the control panel), which isn't a problem, just kind of a minor inconvenience when they probably could've made all the screws be hex-wrench-able. - Also, the table top really is in two separate pieces that you connect with the dowels that are included. I haven't really noticed the seam all that much during daily use, but I know other people don't like the way it looks. The two pieces put together feel sturdy enough; they both have 4 screws each to connect them to the side rails, so even when I tug on them a bit, it doesn't feel like it's going to come apart. It worked immediately upon plugging in. Controls for moving the table up and down, as well as setting specific heights with the numbers, were straight forward. - It's a little wobblier than the standing desks that my office has, but those are probably more expensive anyway. It shakes when I use the controls to move the desk up and down, and it wobbles my monitor a bit when I type. That being said, if your external monitor isn't 10 years old and on a piece-of-crap stand, you probably won't have any issues with it. Nothing is ever at risk of falling off. I have water bottles and coffee mugs and I'm never worried about them falling over when I move the desk up and down or when I type. To be fair, I am also tiny and have tiny hands and tiny muscles so if you're bigger, maybe consider something sturdier. - I have nothing to say about the longevity of the motor, since I've only had it for one week and I only need it at standing height. I rarely move the desk up and down. For my purposes, even if the motor broke today, I wouldn't care.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Great Electric Desk
*by M***Y on July 31, 2026*

I love this electric desk! It was easier to assemble than I expected and the quality is great for what I paid for it. I've been using it for almost a week now without issue, and it changes height smoothly. It works great with my walking pad beneath it so I can get some steps in while I work, and the drawer is a nice feature for extra storage. Highly recommend!
