Persona 4 Arena: Official Design Works Paperback – Illustrated, December 10, 2013

I've really enjoyed Shigenori Soejima's art since seeing it in Persona 3, and it has only improved since then.This book in particular is great because it gives insight to the fighter game making process. With input from both Atlus and Arc System Works, you get an inside look to how Arc Systems took characters created by Atlus and put them in this new setting. There's tidbits about why certain characters got the skills and spells they did, and even notes on why the idle animations are how they are. You get sketches of the frames for each character when they perform skills, as well as their personas.My one gripe is that I was expecting more traditional character design sheets as opposed to sprite concepts. But since I was pleasantly surprised by the in depth look at making the game, this was a small complaint at best.

Amazing artwork from the Persona 4 arena game

I'm a big fan of the Shin Megumi and Persona series, and I've always loved the art for the games. Just as usual, the artwork of the characters was beautiful and very thorough--there are even frame-by-frame illustrations for how the characters move. It's a fantastic book for Persona lovers or just concept art enthusiasts.

Of all the video game art and design books I own (30+), this is by far my favorite. Sure, the art is fantastic, but the applicable details such as animation timings and full character perspectives are beyond what other books publish. For the Persona fan, aspiring animator or game designer, or avid collector, I HIGHLY recommend this book!

I have bought all the art books of the Persona serie and this one is the most technical. It show you frame by farm some of the animations so thats cool if you are into that kind of stuff. I prefer the way the P4 was but that does mean this one is bad, it comes with great artwork but i think more comments from the artist would have been good.

A great collection of Promotional Artwork, Concept Designs, Interviews, and Explainations for various things within Persona 4 Arena. Any fan of Persona 4 Arena and Artwork will likely love this book.

It came on time and it looks gorgeous. Absolutely no complaints. If you are interested in Persona 3/4 or animation for fighting games you will not be disappointed.

I recommend this if you're into creating or animating 2D fighting games. Much of the book is dedicated to showing you key frames of the characters attacks, combos, and specials.

Fantastic art work any persona fan will love this

To a Persona series fan, it is perfect. The art is incredible and the sturdiness of the book itself will make it last.

Being a huge fan of the Persona series, I had to buy this and even the fighting game (which I am not by any means a fighting game enthusiast). I understand where other reviewers are coming from now that I have had an in-depth look at the book itself. The book seems more centred around the move sets and overall movements of the characters than their artistic concepts/designs. There is a lot in the book, however, and Persona fans (I feel) will not be disappointed in buying this art book, but some of the movement layouts I completely overlooked.

Wer ein solides Artbook zur Inspiration sucht mit unglaublich vielen, unterschiedlichen Posen, wird hier bestens bedient. Es gibt diverse Skizzen, Abläufe von Angriffen werden dargestellt sowie die einzelnen Charaktere der Serie vorgestellt. Es gibt zudem diverse Nahaufnahmen aus verschiedenen Perspektiven von den einzelnen Charakteren sowie detaillierte Großaufnahmen einiger Kampf-Moves.Definitiv empfehlenswert für jeden der sich fürs Zeichnen allgemein interessiert!
