These are relatively easy to program and work well, let's hope this one lasts a while. The previous 2 devices lasted only a few years each when they stopped functioning. I plan on babying this one, keep it protected from falls etc, perhaps it will be more durable!

It took me a while to find a wall switch that replaces the standard toggle in our bedroom. We have lights over our bed that are for reading but there is no switch. It's not fun to get sleepy or fall asleep and have to get out of bed to turn off the lights. This system is cheap and works like charm. You remove the old switch from the wall (make sure you turn off the power first) and install the remote switch using the same three wires that were connected to the old switch. The unit is RF so you don't even have to have line of sight. There is also an option, if you buy more of the remotes, to program a sleep timer shut off.

I’ve had several of these fail now … seems they only last a few years and the button wears out.Use for my sink disposal in kitchen and for garage lights.Very convenient otherwise.

works great, but the seller is FANTASTIC! I had a problem programming and couldn't get tech support as it was after hours. They sent a replacement quickly, no questions asked. If you are using this as a second transmitter, you must turn off the switch with the first programmed transmitter if you want to program a second one to the switch. Once you get it programmed, multiple remotes will work and they have a good range. I will be buying more for other locations.

Seems like a manufacturing/qa issue. I ended up spending close to $450 on skylink products. The remote parts of their products all seem to stop working and flex, feel flimsy, and work inconsistently (or not at all). I wish I had listened to the reviews of others with similar issues.

This is a "line of sight" remote; it does not operate from upstairsor around corners, or from the next room. It can be handy at times,but most often mine sits in place like an on/off light switch. Itworks perfectly, is easy to program, but has this basic limitation.

Awesome! Bought this with SkylinkHome MR-318 Remote Controllable Wireless Lighting Wire-In On/Off Module Light Receiver. I can use it from inside to turn outside lights on/off, about 60 ft away. Works so well, I bought a second one for upstairs balcony, to turn them on/off

Very versatile little lighting accessory for the home. You can rest the remote on the wall control if you're concerned about loosing it, or have it on the night table for that quick-to-shut down when in bed without getting up. I use a second one in the basement where the wall control is oddly located, giving me a more convenient access to the lights that way. The dimmer control is a little too fast to my liking though, making it hard to sometimes get the perfect atmosphere in the bedroom for instance.The only reason I took one star away is because my first remote was defective right out of the box. I also have several other Skylinkhome home wireless light control units and a few have dies after only a few years. Cheap to buy though, so not a big deal to replace.

What you need to know is you have to have the old one to help set up the new controller.
