US Serif Software DrawPlus X8

This software can be described using that line from Billy Joel's song :ONLY THE GOOD DIES YOUNG. Most softwares are so complex that you usually need several books to get by. In this software, the tutorials are built in and you feel like your grandma goes hand by hand with you guiding you every step along the way. Again, the company stopped the production and at the time of this writing it won't be more versions to come.

Purchased this graphic software recently - and then found out that it's been discontinued. This notice is on the Serif website:"DrawPlus is now a legacy Serif product. You can still purchase a license here if you wish, but we are no longer offering support to new purchases and no further updates will be issued.As an alternative we would recommend Affinity Designer, our multi-award winning professional graphic design software for Windows and macOS. This is part of our next generation professional graphics and photo editing software."Drawing package is adequate for my needs - I'm teaching someone how to use it to create custom logos for their business.

Very disappointed with this DVD ROM. The CD would not load using 2 different CD/DVD players. I tried to return and exchange, but did not get a confirmation.

No wonder Serif has phased-out DrawPlus. There has to be a better graphics editor out there for the price. You can't even register an account that they you every time you open the program: it says that it won't accept a product code unless it starts with a number: mine starts with 3 letters. Glad I only dropped $24 dollars on it.

Easy to work with and lots of options. Tutorials are good and if you have not used a drawing program before they are an excellent way to get started. All drawing programs have a learning curve but this one is gentle.

This is a good light weight design program for general layouts and such. It performed the task I needed it for and it came at a very good price. When I tried to register the program on line, I was taken to a "site not found" page with a note that on-line support for some programs was being discontinued.Is it still being supported?

Thought it would have more effects but its like an old fashion paint (the standard computer software that use to come with the computer?

I have been following Serif Plus products for a few years and appreciate how user friendly these programs are. The ONLY reason I am not giving it 5 stars is that is does not allow you to import super high resolution images. More powerful programs like Photoshop do. Other than that this does everything I need it to do.

Great value at the reduced price...Simple and easy program to learn and use.Its not my first choice of a vector programbut for the price I cannot grumble.Good to have as a backup.

More geared to shape designing than photo tuning or format prep for printing

I like this program as it complements my other drawing software well as it has the ability to give me bigger pages sizes other than a4

the product has a label attached with the words "Product key" this opens the product but when i tried to register the product the key does not work where is the registration key
