BUY this bed!
This is a wonderful value. I bought this bed, set it up, slept like a baby & awoke without back pain. I am 5'2" chunky 50 year old women. I set this up by myself quickly. I waited longer for the foam to recover. I can purchase any part or component if I ever want to upgrade or replace a needed part and do not have to buy another new bed. As for the foundation you can use 2 sheets 3/4" sub flooring ($40ish) with tongue & groove joints, have the lumber store cut 2 pieces to fit your mattress size (1" shorter than length & width of mattress) place them on your box springs, tap the tongue and groove together, (for a platform bed set up sub flooring on (9) 8"x8" cinder blocks), cover with a flat sheet to conceal (if desired) set your Personal Comfort up and sleeeeeep. As for your number setting; get your Sleep Number number. Sleep Number numbers run 0-100 by 5's & Personal Comfort numbers runs 0-50 by 1's. To get your Personal Comfort # divide ur Sleep Number by 2 & round down. Is was perfection. Great initial value. I saved $1600+ on the mattress alone by buying Personal Comfort & a separate vented 2.5" memory foam mattress topper. No shipping, handling, tax, set up fees. Sleep Number requires all this in addition to the cost of the mattress. Get your Sleep Number number BUT buy Personal Comfort.

Super comfortable and firm bed
I have never had a bed I'm happier with. Love the firmness. It was not a 15 minute assembly for me (I'm small, had no help on assembly day, and I don't have super strong grip). It took closer to an hour. Likely would have been far faster with help. Previous 2 beds were select comfort. I like this bed much better because I want a really firm bed and this bed delivers just that. I'm bony, and it is definitely cushioned enough. After a week, I don't want to try any other bed again. This is the most comfortable bed ever.

already owned a twin sleep number bed by select comfort wanted a larger mattress so went for this one based on reviews and have to say so far I love it. The cost was much more reasonable than any of the other sleep number bed for sale by 3 other companies. This is a good value and it was easy to assemble. Thanks

Good mattress.
Good mattress at a good price. High quality and very comfortable. It's nice that you can buy just the mattress and don't need to buy the whole system as in other stores.

Very disappointed
I've had a Sleep Number bed, and loved it. When it came time to replace it, I was very excited to see the features of the Personal Comfort bed. I purchased a queen, headboard, and adjustable base, along with 'white glove delivery and assembly'. I deeply regret it.I was charged on the day of purchase but later learned that they hold the money, and the bed would be delivered a month later.About a month later I received a voice mail informing me that my delivery was scheduled on "ampersand" in the am. I completely disassembled the old bed, frame and stored everything out of the way. Delivery was made, but they brought only the mattress. They had never seen one and asked if it was a waterbed. All they could do was put the mattress on the floor. Personal Comfort stated that they 'lost' the bed base, and would need to order another. How many more days of floor sleeping? They located the bed base a few days later, and another delivery was scheduled. These drivers had never - ever- seen an adjustable base bed, and spent hours trying to assemble it. They fought a good fight, demonstrated that it worked, and left several piles of unused hardware on the dresser. I couldn't sign for the delivery because they couldn't locate the paperwork. The bed has THREE remote control units to adjust the firmness and the position of the mattress. Two wired and one bluetooth.Later that evening, I jumped in to enjoy my new bed. It got stuck in the head raised position and the remote would no longer pair with the base. More phone calls. I asked about their money-back guarantee 90 nights, right? No, that only applies to the mattress. Not the headboard, not the adjustable base. That's another company. So my new bed is here, the base is here, but I can't sleep in it because it's stuck in the up position. They offered to have someone call tomorrow.Fast forward a month later...the base adjusts once or twice, then won't pair with the unit. I have to crawl under the bed to reset the power to the motor, then it works once or twice and needs to be reset again.I deeply regret this purchase. In an extremely frustrating time a bed should be a place of comfort and solace. Mine has been a cause of further angst and frustration. I feel scammed.

NOT A TRUE 25-YEAR WARRANTY
On January 3, 2019 I had an interesting experience with Personal Comfort. Just after three years of having bought my A2 Queen mattress from Personal Comfort, I decided to report the slow leak problem with my mattress. I have to pump the mattress once every five days or so. I have had this problem since day one. However, an Ashley over at Personal Comfort Costumer Service informed me today that their warranty is only THREE years not 25 years, as they advertise. Any issues with their beds, after 3 years, have to be reported to American National Manufacturer 800-854-6295. I called that number and I got a message that their voicemail was full and they hanged up on me. So, I called Personal Comfort back and requested to speak to a supervisor about this. Ashley at Personal Comfort put me on hold and then hanged up me too. Their excuse is that they do not manufacture their beds. No call back from them as yet either. So much for Personal Comfort's costumer service and their warranty. I was considering buying a second bed from them but obviously, why would I want to continue to do business with a company that does not stand behind their product?
