Surprised
My husband and I were apprehensive about the Ford folding bikes, but due to the convenience of being able to transport one or two of them in the trunk of our car, we decided to try it out. My husband is just over 200 lbs and 6’1” so the smaller wheels of the Ford bike was a little disconcerting. My first surprise after receiving the package is that it came fully assembled, ready to ride. All we did was unfold it, check the brakes and add a little more air to the tire due to his weight, and he was riding it around the block. Our second surprise is how well it rode. It was solid and fast. It completely exceeded our expectations on its performance. So we folded up the bike, threw it in the trunk and drove to a nearby regional park. He rode the bike for a 7 mile loop around the park, and it was a fun ride without spending any more effort than on his mountain bike. We are happy now that we don’t have to hassle with a bike rack, and have a bike to ride any time when driving around.

You get what you pay for,...so PASS ON THIS!!!
This is an AUTHENTIC Dahon bike. There's no question about it. The problem is the old adage "you get what you pay for". Allow me to elaborate.First, the frame is Dahon, but it's slightly lower grade. This bike has a lower maximum weight of 220lbs, and most Dahon bikes are 230lbs.I wanted to like this, I really did. Not possible as the Dahon quality isn't here in this bike. The latches are less solid, and are of thin metal. This includes the latch for the handlebar and stem and frame fold. Not the most solid, and will be an issue with flex. The wheels are, I believe, single walled. Ride it over a nice bump and watch the rims bend. I had this happen with a 700c wheeled bike, and I only recommend double walled rims.Overall this bike really isn't worth the money, and getting something a little more expensive from Dahon will definately pay off in the long run. This won't last through the summer without issues. Time to try and request a refund!!!

Nice travel bike.
This Dahon bike lives up to its advertising. It truly folds up quickly and compactly. I can unfold this bike and have it adjusted and ready to ride within a minute. Folding takes about the same time. And when folded, this bike does indeed fit in the trunk area of our two-row Highlander, and estimate that it would fit in the trunk of an even smaller car. As for portability, this bike is still heavy and awkward to carry around by hand. It really belongs in a trunk. It does not stand up well on its own when folded, and there is no real easy way to carry it.This Dahon bike rides well, but I found that it is best-suited for relativley short distances. The bike lacks shocks on the front fork and it sports smaller tires than your typical bike. The bike also looks rather awkward, especially if you are 5'10" or taller. The bike seems sturdy enough and appears to have quality components. Gears shift smoothly and the brakes are soild. At the end of the day, this is an errand bike. We bring this bike on trips and camp outs, where it serves very well as an errand bike. Around town, I find that I still use my full-size bike as my go-to bicycle.A good bike to take along on trips. We can definitely recommend it for that use.

This bike is absolute garbage. The bike itself is probably okay
This bike is absolute garbage. The bike itself is probably okay, the problem is that it is utterly unrideable. The seat is useless. There is no way to fit it, click it in, or tighten it enough to get it to stay in place. Every time I hit a bump the seat folds and collapses out from under me. The bike is a lawsuit waiting to happen. At least Amazon is good about accepting the return for this garbage. The shifters suck too, but you'll never get the chance to use them. DO NOT BUY THIS BIKE.
