One of the best purchases so far
This is a great product. I installed it in a non profit organization along with a boat load of other paraphernalia. Basically I have made arrangements with another gadget to get ALL AV inputs changed to HDMI, then I get the HDMI output and send it out using this device. The signal goes about 40 feet to over head projector and two other locations are 75 feet from this device. The 4th extender was used to extract sound however the device used for this purpose failed, I'm now looking at another reliable device that could extract sound from HDMI. So for over a year and half this has really performed well. I am 100% satisfied and would recommend this device to anyone who wants to send out HDMI signals up to 100 feet from this box.

Shipped me the incorrect item
Shipped the incorrect item -- received an older model, non-4K MHSP1014E. Had to use as it's needed ASAP. Would have preferred the 4K model.

Failure Prone
When I found this single wire HDMI over Ethernet solution from Monoprice, I thought it was a great solution. It turns out it is not so great. The units function very well initially, however, over time they age and eventually do not have enough power to get the signal to the TVs. There are some solution options, however. The solutions, along with my experiences and some technical information is below.Solution 1:If you have the option, i.e. 2 Ethernet wires run to where the output TV goes, try to find a two Ethernet wire splitter/amplifier solution. Monoprice used to have one, but it looks like they don't carry it anymore. See technical information for why this solution is better. I would really advise trying to find another option though.Solution 2:[Update: Unfortunately this solution seems temporary and the unit still fails. I've had 3 of them now, all with the same problem. Save yourself the same expense and headache and look elsewhere for a solution.]Be prepared to upgrade your power supply. The power supply they ship with these units seems to be *just* big enough to power the unit. As it ages it seems it needs slightly more power to push the signal over the distances required. The 3 amp power supply shipped with the unit can't provide this much power and the signal drops out. This 8 amp supply worked from my 8 output amplifier/splitter ( NEWSTYLE 5V 8A AC/DC LED Strip Power Supply Converter Adapter 5.5x2.1mm Plug For WS2811/2801 LED String Light ). A six amp supply would likely work for both the 4 and 8 output units, however. Background:When I was remodeling my house, I found this single Ethernet cable solution so I ran a single Ethernet cable to each of my TVs to distribute my CCTV feed. However, after a year, the signal started dropping out on the feed. I contacted Monoprice and they replaced the unit since it was still under warranty. A little over a year later and that unit went out as well. By now, I could tell there was definitely a design flaw with these units. However, I had finished my remodel and could not run an additional wire to my TVs to switch to a 2 wire solution without taring my house up again. Not willing to do that, I paid for a new unit. At a minimum this would buy me time. To no surprise a little over a year later and the signal dropped again. By now, I suspected the units were under powered. I purchased a larger power supply. This seemed to solve the problem, at least for now. The signal is restored, but who knows if it will last.Technical information:You can find in depth information on the internet, but the short version to get you started is here. HDMI cables have a number of individual lines in them (typically 18-19). The exact number depends on the HDMI cable and what functionality it supports (3D, infrared, Ethernet). An Ethernet cable has 8 lines. By not supporting the higher end features (like 3D) and by using a common ground, you can reduce the number of lines needed for HDMI and send an HDMI signal over 2 Ethernet cables. To send an HDMI signal over a single Ethernet line, double the amount of information must be sent down each line (and it requires a box at the end of the line that knows how to interpret that doubled information and restore it to the original signal). That doubling of information makes these single line solutions more susceptible to signal loss or interference (as best as I can explain it anyway).

Okay… not perfect
I was surprised, as I have an older Amplifier Splitter that works great, that this product was not able to reach its advertised 50m, and it could barely handle a 75’ cat6 cable, beyond that wouldn’t work at all. I simply need a far reaching amplifier, so if it can’t reach the distance why advertise it does?

Great product
We are using this to take 1 of 3 selected inputs from a switcher and distribute it to 4 TVs, it has done this beautifully. The picture and audio are clear and in synch.

This thing needs power or better system requirement as it did not work at all on a Cat 5e cable, then moved to Cat6 no luck with that and moved to Cat-6A then 1 TV worked and that was very noisy and then I used a short Cat7 cable and both tv's worked but that was short lived as when the trying to adjust the TV aspect ration the signal was lost and that was that. I ended up using a 50ft HDMI cable as a temp solution.

Receivers die within months
After 8 months two of the receiving units died. Picture quality was fine and I have no other complaints with the unit just seems to be poor quality.

Worst Buy Ever
Worst device I've worked with in years. Extremely finicky connection even if it connects. No support information. Manual is a joke.
