RealTruck Roll-N-Lock M-Series Retractable Truck Bed Tonneau Cover | LG448M | Fits 2009 - 2018, 2019 - 2020 Classic Dodge Ram 1500/2500/3500 6' 4" Bed (76.3")

I bought this for my 2017 Ram Quad cab with the 6 1/2 bed. Installation took a whole day because I did it myself (no help). If you have a drop in bed liner, you will have to remove the liner and remove a portion from the front section so the canister can fit directly onto the bed rails. You will also have to remove the top portion of the plastic liner from the tailgate so the latching section can be mounted flush to your tailgate. Spray in liners require no alterations.This type of cover is similar to a retractable window blind. It does use tracks that are mounted to the inside of each bed rail to guide the edges of the cover. The tracks are clamped to bed rail guides that are screwed to your bed rails with self tapping screws. The clamps allow for adjustment for smoother operation.When the cover is pulled completely closed, a lockable latch connects to the section that's screwed to your tailgate.Some negatives: the directions are cheap, black and white, printed copies and the diagrams are a little difficult to figure out. Regardless of how many people are willing to print their initials on a little bag of parts to provide "quality assurance", they cannot count. Mine was missing enough screws to install the tailgate section and enough screws to install the canister cover. I went to a local home store and bought screws. The canister had a long strip of adhesive foam attached. Several inches of the foam could not stick to the canister because someone failed to wipe off a large amount of metal shavings from a drilled hole. Imagine a bunch of dirt on a strip of tape. So, I peeled back the tape, scraped off the metal, re-applied new cement and re-attached the foam. Lastly, my canister cover was slightly bent in a couple of places. I was able to fix most of the bends but not all of them.Overall, a very good cover that's lockable, retractable, easy to use and very durable. The quality assurance was disappointing.

I have a 2015 RAM with a 5'7" bed with RAMBOX and had a tri fold cover for 5 years but it leaked and began falling apart. I purchased the 6'4" version Roll N Lock because it was half price of the 5'7" for RAM BOX at the time. You are able to cut down the rails to fit the shorter bed but you do need to study the installation and what holes and brackets are required and what they do for the cover. I am very happy with the cover so far but I have not yet been through a winter season to see how it does. I dropped 1 start because I was under the impression that the cover can be latched/locked in any position but that does not seem to be the case. There are multiple locking locations but they are spaced apart ~9" apart. Not a big deal but I thought I could have something sticking out and have the cover tight against it for a little more security. At this time I would buy this cover again. Given the high quality materials and solid feel I think this will last a long time.

I purchased this along with the cargo manager. Installation took me about two hours to complete but if I had to do another one I can probably do it in about 30 minutes. Most of the time was spent second guessing and rereading the instructions. Beware that the screw holes in the tailgate part may not be perfectly centered so be sure you center the entire piece to your tailgate as per the instructions. Also be careful when handling the cover housing. Some of the metal is rather thin and bends easily. While I have seem some reviews knock the product for the thin metal I wouldn't want it much thicker as that is just more weight added to the truck.Once installed I was super impressed. Wow what a great look. Before this I had one of those tri-fold types that have lever clamps which looked OK but not nearly as nice as this. The tri-fold cover did the job well enough but the clamps started to bend over time and opening and or closing it meant walking around the truck a few times. With this all you do is unlock the cover and give it a slight push. Just like that the cover retracts into it's housing which also resets the latch to the lock position. Then when you want to close it again you pull the supplied cord until you can grab the cover with two hands and you close it firmly against your tailgate. Since the latch reset upon entering the housing it automatically latches to your tailgate. Once latched you have the option of locking it with the key or not.I have not had a really good rain since I installed it but we are expecting heavy rains soon. We have a few light rains and so far no leaks. I will update the review if it leaks after the next heavy rain.Overall it looks great, works as advertised and combined with the optional cargo manager makes my truck bed way more useful.
