Ivory Refrigerator Door Lock (Off White)

Helpful if you overeat
I have two of these - one for the fridge and one for the freezer. I bought them because I really don't have much self control when it comes to overeating. I now allow myself to unlock the fridge and/or freezer every 4 hours to get a reasonable amount of food and then lock it up. I have a Kitchen Safe box (where you set a timer and it won't open unless you break it until the timer goes off) where I put the keys for these fridge/freezer locks, so once I've gotten something to eat, I quickly lock the fridge and freezer back up and lock the keys inside the Kitchen Safe before I can change my mind. It's a lot easier to have self control for 3 seconds when I make the decision to lock the keys away than it is to have access to food all day long and try to have self control for the whole day to not overeat. The adhesive part that sticks on the fridge/freezer door is really secure and, together with the lock itself, does a perfect job of keeping the fridge and freezer locked. It matches my fridge perfectly.

Exactly perfect!
These locks are perfect. They stop my son who has behavioral issues from stealing and wasting food. They certainly seem extremely stuck on and I have high hopes they are unremovable. I plan to leave them in place and buy more if (God forbid) the refrigerator breaks. They have truely solved a huge issue. Though I'm not proud of this kids behavior and seeing these locks are a sore reminder, these locks also bring comfort knowing what I put there stays until I take it out. Well worth the price. Thank you so much to the genius who invented these! Way better than motion detectors!

Should have gotten this along time ago
A good quality lock set. I got this to replace the chain I used to have wrapped around my freezer I have in my portion of the basement I share of the 4-flat where I live. It's easy to attach and holds very firmly. The alcohol wipe they included to clean the surface was pretty much of a joke so you might want to be sure you have some extra alcohol on hand to do a good cleaning - I also used a nylon pad to get it good and clean. The cables are sufficiently long and appear to be sturdy enough but I wasn't too pleased with the included lock, it is a Master Lock and may have been adequate but it just seemed a bit small for me and I put a more solid lock on it. Overall, though, I am very pleased with this Refrigerator Door Lock

Paid for itsself already
I got this lock to put on a fridge in the garage to protect the soda from the wrath of my teenage little brothers who can apparently shotgun a coke per second for at least a 24 pack.PROS: Works great, sticks well, easy install.CONS: Ridiculously expensive, and comes with an extremely crappy key lock. I would suggest a combo lock for this application.

It Works!
This is embarrassing...my child has food issues. I had to get this to prevent the fridge from being empty in the morning. This works really, really well. Once you put it on, it's not coming off. Nope, it's all been tried. The color matches nicely...but I still have a lock on my fridge.I really hate that I have to have this, but I'm glad I do.

Excellent Product
I bought this to prevent my adult autistic son from raiding the frig at night. I have used the plastic ones that are suppose to child-proof things, but they just break off. This one does the trick. It's not pretty but works well. I don't use the lock that came with it, just a snap carabiner that my son can't open but alows the rest of us easy access. It was very easy to install and is stuck on tight. We are very pleased with it.

Dog raider
I have a dog who opens the fridge and helps himself to everything except the dog food. I even tried putting a trailer strap with a ratchet which was just a challenge to him. Resulting in him pulling the strap to the point of moving the fridge and unplugging it and the next time actually successfully chewing through the strap to the ultimate reward. This lock has stymied him, and he changed to opening the freezer door. Alas, there was no reward there for him, so the freezer has not become a problem, but if it does we will be buying another lock.

Keeps kids out of fridge
My kids came up with a game called "picnic" where they would pull every food item out of the fridge and cabinets. This went on daily for months, no matter what we did, so on the locks went. Problem solved. My kids are pretty strong and they can't get this off.
