ECOTRIC 59" x 39" x 5.1" Universal Adjustable Roof Rack Cargo Carrier

I wanted an inexpensive roof basket for my old Element to take on an upcoming trip and this fit the bill so I gave it 5 stars. It came well packaged with only a single scratch and assembled easily enough. As in the listing pictures the clamps are meant for the front and rear sections. They don't fit spacing on the middle two sections. I think it would have been a perfect fit if I had only used one middle section but I wanted to use both of them. It resulted in a cattywampus clamp fit, as another reviewer noted, which I wasn't comfortable with so I added some U clamps which is probably overkill but seems safer to me. Overall I'm happy with it given that it's a universal fit product so I expected some issues.

My son got this for Christmas last year, so he’s had it on his 4Runner about 6 months. He said he loves it and likes the look it gives his truck. It doesn’t whistle or make any noise which is nice. The few times he’s actually put anything up there, it worked great. Him and I installed it easily one afternoon with no issues.

Overall, I am quite happy with my basket. It fit great on top of my 10 crv (i was only able to get it to fit well with one of the center sections). price is nice and affordable. Looks pretty snazzy up there. Downsides? one of the poles were bent, making initial installation a bit of a hassle as i had to bend it back to fit. this seems to be a common issue that i've seen in other reviews. annnnd... it is starting to rust within 7 days of being installed. I am going to try flex seal spraying the whole thing like someone else did.so 35$ ish for 2 cans and $80 for the basket (round $115ish).. still much much less than say, a yakima basket. i still think it is definitely worth it. just dont purchase this unit thinking it wont need a bit "extra"

Good price point but needs improvement which I did I I added stainless hardware and added two aluminum 3/8 solid rod to the inside center supports which did not add but a few ounces of weight but added double the rigidity once all pressed together is almost like one complete none flexing basket

Great quality, easy assembly, 3 start only because the extended version doesn’t fit my Toyota Highlander, overall it’s ok

Ok, so I’m all about writing a good review when it needs one. This came in very fast, and is very durable!!!!!!! I was so nervous about the quality, I’m a sceptic when buying things online. But I have to rant and rave about this one, my family and I are going on a trip and this is going to be a saving grace when it comes to saving room inside the car. It is think steel I think, it’s on the heavy side but I being 5’7’’ could put it on top of the car in a pinch. But I am a little handier than most. It’s very simple to set up but had my husband tighten all the bolts down because the screw backs (I think that’s how you say it 😂 I said I was a little handy, I just don’t know all the lingo) they have rubber gaskets inside that you really have to wrench down. But this thing isn’t breaking anytime soon. It’s very big I would recommend two people but not impossible for one. It’s feels larger in person, but the measurements are correct. I would recommend to annoy one needing a cargo rack on the top of their car!!!!!

Arrived just in time for our trip. Unfortunately, one of the rods is bent and I cannot get it put together. Also, one of the rubber pieces ripped when I was trying to put it together. After getting it together and putting it on the car it rusted in the short amount of time that it was up there.

Needed a rack for our trip to Edmonton cuz my Jeep sits 6 but only if our third row is up and that leaves very little space for luggage since we have 4 kids. This rack was perfect and went well with the roof bag we bought. It fit all our extra luggage that couldn't fit in the back - about 2 large hardtop suitcases and 3 smaller carry on size suitcases with a few backpacks. Great rack! I use it to carry my sons goalie equipment now too. Fit on my 2022 Jeep Grand Cherokee but I did have to buy 2 cross bars as well so the rack could be installed.

My roof basket was damaged upon arrival. The mating sections are bent out of shape, preventing assembly and installation from being possible. There should be no fixing or modifications necessary for a brand new item. The overall construction of the rack is poor. The metal is very thin. It is held together with small tack welds, and has many areas for water to get in. These racks are also known to rust internally like crazy, and leak rusty water all over your vehicle. These would probably completely rust out in a few short years. A decent quality basket should last for many years and perhaps decades or more with maintenance. This may look similar to Yakima or Curt baskets, but do not be fooled. It is no where near the build quality, and quite a bit smaller in many ways. It's not actually 67" long either. If you live in Canada, I highly suggest just getting the princess auto roof basket along with an extension. It is better in every way, larger, and nearly the same price when it's on sale. I thought this basket was essentially the same as the princess auto one, but it is paltry in comparison. Another thing to note is that there are no extensions available to purchase for this basket. There are similar extensions on Amazon and other places. They look close but they are in no way compatible.

Looks awesome but not even a day after I noticed this yellow dust could be a me issue but didn’t happen till I put it on (UPDATE) it’s getting worse and worse my roof is now coated in yellowish powder
