Remove Squirrels !
I have used unit for six (6) months and have seen 90% reduction in Squirrels in back yard and no damage to fescue grass. The back cover is difficult to take off and put back on. Overall, very surprised unit has worked this well in my yard!

Effectively worthless on rodents.
While the high frequency sound greatly annoyed my grandson, I saw ZERO evidence it had any effect on repelling rodents.

Almost Perfect
The device works well but the back panel is very hard to get back in. It must be perfectly aligned and takes a lot of hand strength to press back together. I think the plug to the item should be outside the box. Otherwise item works well.

Raccoon Repellent
This product really works, only one I’ve used that repels raccoons. Thank you!

Surprisingly well-built, but doesn't actually repel raccoons or rodents
This device does function as advertised in the sense that it wasn't defective and it operated nearly continuously for three weeks straight until I stopped it, which surprised me. I used it in a sort of off-label manner however: I put it underneath my house set on continuous noise since there was already a raccoon living under there, and combined it with spraying coyote urine. I had hoped this would encourage the raccoon to find some other digs, but the high-pitched noise, bird-of-prey screeches, and strobe light merely turned my crawlspace into a critter discotheque. If a raccoon can live for three weeks with that constant noise, then I doubt it would actually repel one if used as suggested, as a yard deterrent. It should also be noted that I had some rodents enter the crawlspace during this period (and meet their doom as I control them via other means), so that's a double failure of this noisemaker.

READ THIS REVIEW!
Received this unit just a few days ago. After reviewing the instructions I attempted to remove the back cover panel — INSANE . They designed it to compress outside the edge of main body. It required nearly enough force to damage the unit to pry it off. That’s the easy part. After you install batteries and set the settings you have to put this back plate back on. I’m a pretty strong guy - impossible. Even if you get it reattached it will not stay. Why on earth did they not just use some screws to hold the back on…..nope….. I can’t be the only buyer who has wrestled with this. On the good side — I believe the electronics are quality and you have good adjustments. You can also connect to a 115 v power supply so batteries are not a concern (if you have that option). This occurred the second night it was installed. I have a Ring camera that can see the area where this pest device is installed. Last night both a skunk and a possum walked right up to the pest repeller and sniffed it then TOTALLY ignored it. It only made them curious. This is absolutely the truth. Worthless. Making this worse …… I just discovered a mouse chewed through the extension wire. Serious.

I really like it.
The AC adapter included is UL; this matters with outdoor use, where a cheap adapter can kill you. I bought the 12v cord for it and measured current draw when connected to a car battery. My strobe model draws around 20ma at idle, and around 200ma when tripped. It has 3 potentiometers and (2) 3-position switches that can be set for many conditions; they are the key to making it suit your uses. It accepts 12vdc directly to the jack where you plug in its AC adapter. I have not yet deployed it outdoors, but I am sure it will do the job. It can detect small field mouse size up to a human. It all depends on how you set it up. It automatically resets after tripping, much like a car burglar alarm.

Otters are gone - FINALLY!
Ok - finally a solution. I have a boat that lives in a floating boat house in a marina on the ocean all year round in Vancouver. The otters LOVE the boat house but, as cute as they are, the smell and otter poop everywhere (and I mean everywhere) was intolerable. People I know try mothballs, ammonia, dog pee, a radio on 24x7 and even electrical wire to keep them out. None of that worked. So I figured I'd give these a go. I bought three in the fall, set them all to be on all the time and vary their tone randomly. I imagine it's a nasty, constantly changing sound. But it's high pitched, so I can barely hear it. First winter ever - no otters. Not one poop. Game changer. Hope it continues to work as well as it seems to have this far.

Does Not work - waste of money
I installed on the undersurface of my balconey directly overlooking the rooftop of my SUV. The idea was to discourage dogs from jumping on the the car’s bonnet or peeing on the wheels. Despite the settings adjusted on the dial for cats and dogs and continuous mode selected (only ultrasound, did not turn on the volume up for sonic to avoid disturbing neighbours), cats and dogs don’t seem to acknowledge or mind its presence as they merrily do what they had been doing before. Waste of Rs 10 grands

Good idea but failed with woodpecker attacking our wood siding
Deterrent didn’t stop birds. Back panel tight to be waterproof but couldn’t get it to snap in place

Cats Away
Works to keep my neighbors two cats off my car. I use the "continuous" mode which scans through all the frequencies in one sweep. I say continuous as the unit in this mode is on for around one minute and off for 20 seconds and then repeats. I think this more is the most effective mode. As the unit it quite bulky I stripped it down, took out the speaker and mounted it in a small soup can and attached a flexible goose neck fitting and ran a twin 16 gauge wire and soldered to the speaker. I mounted the modified unit on my 2nd story deck and pointed it down to the hood of my car. Ran the wire into the house and connected to unit. I wanted this to be discrete rather than having a unit that stands out and noticeable by neighbors.
