The nicely compact Big Skinny Metro bi-fold wallet features two ID pockets with clear windows that's great for those with multiple IDs or transit cards. The Metro Bi-Fold holds up to 20 plastic cards in its two extra-wide credit card pockets as well as the clear ID pockets and it also features a billfold area for storing cash or receipts. The extra-wide pockets are lined with a rubbery coating to prevent cards from slipping out. Designed with rounded corners for comfort, it's constructed of a lightweight, water resistant nylon microfiber material that is 5 to 7 times thinner and lighter than leather. It's machine washable for easy care and it dries out in about 20 minutes. The Metro bi-fold wallet measures 3-1/2 x 4-1/16 Inch (and 4 mm thin when empty). The first Big Skinny wallet was designed by Kiril Stefan Alexandrov (the company's founder) because he loathed sitting on a thick, heavy leather wallet. Since creating the original Sport Wallet in 2005 using an advanced nylon micro-fiber material (5 to 7 times thinner than leather), Big Skinny has added dozens of slim wallet styles for men and women with more on the way.

Works well as a slim wallet, and looks good
The wallet has enough room for U.S. bills, but with little length to spare. Bills should be placed at the bottom of the bill pocket, which is shorter at the top corners, where there is extra stitching for reinforcement. I would prefer that the unfolded wallet be 1/8 inch (3 mm) longer, leaving more room for bills.I was able to cram 30 rather-new U.S. bills and 20 cards (only one of which has embossed characters) into the wallet and put it in a shirt pocket without having the wallet look very odd. I don't know if the wallet would last a long time with such stress on the fabric and stitching. I might want to carry cash when traveling, but I would leave some cards at home. To reduce the chance of pick-pocketing, I wear my wallet in my shirt pocket, incidentally avoiding wear that would occur if I were to sit on the wallet and cards.Because the card pockets open toward the fold, the wallet could be designed to hold more cards with less resistance, without risk that the cards would slide out when the wallet is closed. Since I have used the wallet for a few months, the card pockets aren't as tight, and the friction coating on the fabric grabs less. Sometimes the corner of a card gets caught briefly in the partially-hemmed front of a pocket. The black wallet looks fine, better than the close-up photos suggest. I don't like the appearance of the logo patch. I have used a black marker on the logo; the black pigment has not transferred to white office shirts. I could use a seam ripper to remove the logo, but it adds a bit of friction that might prevent the wallet from sliding out of my pocket. I would like more friction on the exterior of the wallet, to keep it in my pocket. The logo also lets me orient the wallet by touch.Initially, I did not want the clear plastic windows, or at least not the cut-out ovals. My concern was longevity; I guess that the clear plastic eventually could tear at the ovals. However, I have gotten used to the convenience of confirming by sight that my most-used cards are back in their pockets. The security guards at my office are willing to look at my ID card while it is in a front pocket, with an extra second for scrutiny. The new wallet had a smell, probably caused by the friction coating inside the pockets; the smell dissipated over a couple of months. There are many wallets for sale, but not many in this category (nylon wallets with relatively few pockets, which open toward a single fold). I wish that this wallet had a slightly different design, since I could not find exactly what I wanted, and this is the closest. However, this wallet works as intended, so I am rating it on that basis.

Great thin wallet.
Made from tough nylon fabric. Nice slightly rounded corner, it has an easy, comfortable fit and feeling in my slacks/jeans back pocket. And I like the design: I prefer my cards to be vertical in my wallet, not horizontal. Two changes I would make: 1. I'd prefer complete plastic/vinyl card windows (don't really care for the hole in window center); 2. I'd prefer the card slots would run along the top so the cards slide down into the slots when you hold the wallet with the bill pocket upward (rather than slide in from the center out toward the edge). (Though with current design, your cards cannot accidentally fall out.)

Lightweight, very thin and functional for 4-6 cards and some bills
I wanted something thin and light, yet able to carry 4 cards and up to 5-10 bills. In addition, the design had to ensure that two cards could be easily seen and the contents would not fall out easily. The Metro Bifold is perfect for my needs. The nylon is indeed lightweight and appears to be of good construction. I took the tip of another reviewer and used a black Sharpie to tone down the "Big Skinny" logo. I don't mind the rubber design tab and do find it useful to retrieve the wallet from my front pocket but the white print was a bit tacky - blacked out it is AOK.

Very slim!
I purchased this wallet for its slim'ness. Upon receiving it I was amazed at its lightness. This wallet is great for a card carrier. Build quality seems very good. the stitches around the wallet are very well done and seem like they will hold forever. One thing that I do not like about this wallet is that it seems a bit troublesome to get cash in the bill holder as that area is so tight at the edges. This doesn't affect me too much though as I don't really carry cash all that much.I would recommend this if you are looking for a slim and lightweight wallet.

Needs to be bigger
I love Big Skinny wallets but this one was a bit tight to pull US bills in and out. The rubber makes it even harder. The length of the wallet needs to be longer to accommodate more bills.

Perfect for front or back pocket carry
I recently transitioned from a typical leather bi-fold wallet to this, and couldn't be happier. It's thin and light enough to carry either in front or back pockets. It doesn't have a ton of separate compartments to do one card per location, but for the small number of cards I carry typically it's not a real problem.

Skinny for sure, works great!
Best wallet I ever owned. I went from a big ol tactical wallet that could hold everything. I am glad I switched. I now have my wallet with me wherever I go!

Brilliant product, had same one before and it lasted 10 years use and abuse. Hence just a replacement for the best wallet ever
