A fantastic modern design take on a legendary univibe pedal
I LOVE IT! Fantastic pedal! I have owned quite a few of the more expensive univibe pedals which were somewhat bulky and had various quirks. I have been looking for a newer modern take on the legendary univibe pedal that could duplicate its legendary sounds but also have a smaller size for pedalboard use but also without any of the old design problems. This pedal does that for me and all for a price that is a fracction of the cost of boutique univibe pedals that I have previously owned. I use a univibe pedal on blues gigs in the vibrato mode mostly to simulate n old magnatone amps pitch. vibrato. Setting this pedal to vibrato with depth at 9-10 o'clock, the volume full up and the rate at about 1-2 o'clock gives me a great simulation of an old pitch vibration (also a great sound for Hendrix tunes like "hey baby -new rising sun"). You can also dial in a great Band of Gypsy's era or Trower like tones by setting the pedal on chorus with its volume full up, and depth at 9-10 o'clock and rate at about 10 o'clock. aa etc). and the rate at about 1-2 o'clock gives me

TC just can't go wrong
This is actually a really cool vibe. Sometimes, even though it's TC Electronic, it's kind of scary when pedal companies bang out a bunch of pedals, and it seems like TC Electronics has been banging out all of these tone print pedals, so I was a little nervous about what kind of product I would be getting. But believe me, even without the tone print stuff this pedal would be great. It's got that nice watery tone to it, and when you get the intensity really high can get so throaty; it's almost like you're getting the modulation of an old tape delay as your actual sound and not just the trail. And with the tone print stuff you can get the most fluid classic univibe sound, as well as tons of other tones which sound amazing with some crunch.

... demos on this and decided it would be a cool effect to add to my board
I was impressed with the videos and demos on this and decided it would be a cool effect to add to my board. It is, indeed. The rotary vibe effect is nice with or without distortion, but rocks with a Plimsoul or Tube Screamer. The toneprints are quite good and I am currently using the Wah vibe and I love it in the right setting. I took off my Shaker vibrato pedal to make room for this, but i still love the shaker. Will switch them back and forth, I suppose.

Incredible Vibe effects. And TonePrint is amazing
I love the way this sounds right out of the box but the TonePrint downloads that can be sent to the box from the app via your guitar’s pickups is a revolutionary method of giving you hundreds of different Vibe variations. Including “Machine Gun” from Hendrix’s Band Of Gypsies. You will not regret buying this. I love this thing. So much so that I’ve purchased 2 more TC Electronic pedals since - Corona Chorus and Flashback- which I love just as much.I bought my first effects pedal in 1976 and these are the highest quality of any I’ve ever purchased.

Cheap sounding
Really disappointed, it’s my least favorite pedal on the board and I’ll sell it if it can. Just sounds dull and thin. They have an app with additional sounds but you have to program the sound to the board to hear it, and there are dozens to choose from. Don’t have the time or energy to try to make this pedal worthwhile while the essential effects are so lacking.

Not a copy of the original uni-vibe but very good still.
I’ve been playing for just over four decades now And I’ve tried lots of effects. They just seem to keep getting better and better as time goes on. This doesn’t sound exactly like a uni-vibe but I’m not sure it’s supposed to. I think I actually like it more because it’s stereo. I do a lot of recording using pedals in stereo and this really added some nice motion to clean and overdriven tones. I don’t use it to re-create Hendrix sounds so if that’s what you’re looking for you might want to try something else. But if you’re looking for expressive colors for your original music then this might be right up your alley.

A truly wonderful pedal!
Nothing to dislike here! This thing does so many different, wonderful sounds! I absolutely love it! Among many other sounds, it does the Robin Trower Roto-Vibe perfectly! This will never come off of my pedalboard! It's a true "Keeper" !!

Like a lot of TC pedals
Like a lot of TC pedals, this one is a great value. I've been playing guitar over 25yrs and I think to my ears, the closest rival to this one is the boutique Drybell Vibe Machine pedal which goes for over $300. If you're looking for something in the smaller size and pedalboard footprint, its probably not in the Fulltone line, ...although if board space is no object they're worth a look, no doubt. For these smaller boxes, listen and compare to the MXR and the VooDoo Lab and decide for yourself. Those pedals just didn't connect with me on what I wanted to hear for some reason. Its nice to have the TonePrint user memory in the pedal as well, but I think the real value is in the overall tone itself.

tone print feature is fab
Solid metal case, well constructed. Use with pp3 battery or pedal PS. Good range of sounds and a stereo option if you have stereo guitar or input. The tone print feature is cool. Allows operational patches (changes the functions of the controls) to mimic some classic sounds (Hendrix, Trower etc). Works without computer. uses smart phone (android) app to send codes via sound through the guitar pickup right to the pedal. Does this in a Similar way to the old Spectrum tape loading of software. Nice. I believe it works with iphone as well. Sounds even better in line with overdrive/distortion pedal following on from the Vibe. Provided with mini USB port for computer connection and for custom tone-print creation from templates using phone app. Nice if they had supplied the to-go cable to connect to phone as well. Just have to buy one.
