This solder is pretty bad quality. In my mind, the quality has gone WAY downhill. At one time, this seemed to be decent solder. However, I can no longer say the same.-Upon recently ordering more of this (within this year), I noticed the quantity was a LOT less than before. In addition, the quality didn't seem to be as good. Sometimes it would excessively stick to the soldering iron's tip, while making a bad quality connection at the same time.-And last, but not least, I'm 90% sure this used to be made in the US. After switching to Chinese manufacturing (big surprise), the quality and quantity isn't anywhere as good.Long story short, don't be fooled!

Received it quickly and the product was as described. It's solder, so not much to go over here, but I was happy to know it was lead free (the idea of inhaling lead fumes isn't really appealing to me). So people report lead free solder is difficult to work with, but as a first time solder-er (?) I was able to finish my task without any issue.The only real downside is the price for the amount of solder you receive. You can find cheaper solder with a lot length for less if the lead isn't a concern for you. But for me personally I prefer my metal fumes to be lead free when I'm inhaling them, so I am happy to pay a premium.

Sadly, I was also the recipient of an empty solder tube, but I did not realize it until almost three years later when I finally got around to my project. I thought the solder had just fallen out, but then I read these reviews and realized that I had also received just the tube with no cap.

You think you want lead free solder as a hobbiest. Jesus god you don’t. Research it and the health risks of traditional solder (which will actually flor before your PCB delaminates) are quite overblown. Kinda ruined my kid’s project. Even after buying a temp controlled iron.

This so called solder is so LOUSY that i really didn't want to waste a poor star on it, so that should tell everyone here how terrible it is, itll ruin your iron tip, has a hi melting point w/ a 35W iron on small circuits, no flux to fuse joints & component pins on a board, its just terrible, heck i threw the rest in the can & bought a better quality rosin core based solder as usaual.

No Solder TWICE now! I see that others were also shipped empty tubes! My first order came with a cap, thought I lost the solder myself since I didn't actually need it until this last weekend and realized the tube was empty so i placed another order and it's just completely empty, no cap, nothing! Thanks for the 2 empty tubes for 15-18 dollars!

Maybe I'm bad at soldering, but I ruined a circuit board trying to use it. The soldering iron kept sticking to the tip of the iron, not the wire, and eventually I scorched a place I didn't want to :/I think I saw this stuff at a local Ace Hardware, so it is probably a solid product.

The solder quality is good but the tube makes it hard to work with. Tilting the solder away from the heat means it often slides back up into the tube.
