This flush mount light fixture is great value for money. The light itself is easy to install. One person can install this themselves as the wiring is simple and the base is small and very lightweight.Only a flat head screwdriver is really needed for the installation process. All the necessary hardware is provided to install the light base and globe including: 2 long screws, 3 wire caps, and the mounting bracket. A black hot wire and a white neutral wire are affixed to the base of the light. (There is no ground wire connected to the light base) Each wire comes pre-stripped and is capped with a small piece of insulation that must be pulled off before installing the light. For those looking to install this light in a closet or pantry and require a pull cord, there is a circular piece of metal that can be punched out on the side of the light base. The pull cord is not included with the light and must be purchased separately. I used this light for a very small guest bedroom with a switch, so I didn’t require a pull cord.In conjunction with the flush mount light, I used a translucent 9 watt LED light bulb that is equivalent to a regular 60 watt bulb in terms of brightness. When fully installed, the light is strong enough to fill an 80 square foot room with ample light without blinding brightness.Because my LED light bulbs are translucent rather than clear, the ribbed texture of the light does not cast the starburst effect on my ceilings. Anyone who prefers that look is advised to use this light in combination with a bulb that is completely clear. When the light is turned off, you can slightly see the bulb, but the beautiful ribbed texture does help disguise it. If this bothers you, it may be remedied by purchasing a bulb you prefer the look of.One thing to note is that the color of the light base looks different from the website photos. It’s more of a deep brown black with a very skinny ring of copper along the edge of the base. If the color is an issue, the light base can be spray painted in bronze. Something like Rub ‘n Buff in European Gold may be lightly applied to further imitate the color of the online photos.The globe is pretty true to the images on Amazon, but the glass is slightly seeded in some spots. This is something I expected because the light was only $20.Overall, this light is an inexpensive lighting solution and I liked it enough to buy another. I recommend this to anyone looking to replace an ugly builder grade flush mount or those looking to install cute smaller lights in their home.

Easy to install and look great.

Use: This fixture replaced a pull chain fixture in my downstairs hallway. The original was almost identical to this replacement, but with a white porcelain base and a frosted globe that had been painted with a sprayer when the previous owner of our house was painting the ceiling.Quality and Aesthetics: The metal part of the fixture was not as sturdy as the base it replaced, but being that is on a high ceiling, it is certainly sturdy enough. The glass part is beautiful and has a nice heft.You can see the shape of the CFL bulb in the fixture; I may try to get a better looking bulb when the current one bites the dust, although an Edison bulb might be overimproving.Installation: This was the first fixture replacement I've done in our 1935 house that actually had an outlet box, which made my day. I was able to spray paint the existing pull chain parts to match the new fixture and install it using the fixture's "pop out" hole which is described with the item. "Pop out" makes it sound deceptively easy; I nearly damaged the light's fixture trying to get it to "pop." As long as the base is screwed in all the way, the glass can be firmly affixed (this took some finagling on my part; in terms of experience I have done about 6 fixtures so far) Otherwise, the installation was pretty easy, and would have been a cinch if I hadn't converted it to a pull chain.

not the best quality or looking lights but they were fairly easy 2 install.give off descent amount of light,plus super fast s/h.for the price cant go wrong.they only had 1 little bend in lip of metal base that I bent it out pretty much with simple pair of plyers.so if you don't want 2 spend much money & like fast s/h for fair looking lights cant go wrong with these.jus not the best looking metal base little cheap looking but you get a descent light for what they cost you.

The Amazon website claimed that this is also a pull chain light useful for small places. There is no pull chain. There is no pull switch. A waste of time and money.

Great light fixture overall, and does come with knock-out hole for adding a pull chain. In the photo there, we purchased the pull chain assembly and chain end separately. The hole available to knock out to make it a pull chain light is covered with a thin circle of metal, so you are going to need a drill or hammer and chisel to knock it out all the way. Once turned on, the globe puts out a great amount of light and looks really pretty.

The fixture is fine, but the base is not ANTIQUE BRONZE but is a DARK OIL RUBBED BRONZE. Since I can use this fixture in another location, I will hold onto the fixture a/o/t returning it.

This is just what I was looking for, was easy to install, and looks nice for a small place such as my closet. Placed a compact fluorescent bulb and it looks and works great in my closet.Not for use with LED bulbs as they do not tolerate "fully enclosed enclosures" due to heat build-up. Check with bulb manufacturers before using with this fixture.

Really nice fixtures! I love the shadow the glass casts. They are good quality and really easy to install at a great price.

Nice small light fixture in clear glass that is suitable for our small vestibule. Really difficult to find clear glass ceiling fixtures that are stylish. Matches up with the theme of light fixtures in our house.

I like it a lot it is the perfect size plus the quality look good for now

Nice looking piece. A bit more modern than the old white ball light fixture. Received immediately, no fuss no muss!
