NEEWER Metal Microphone Boom Support Holder for C-Stands and Mic Stands, Black

I needed a second boom pole cradle, so I bought this. It is nearly identical to the first one I bought, but this one is a bit larger and heavier. Some reviewers note this takes up extra space (which it does), but I don't find that to be a problem. This gizmo is primitive in design, yet very solid, should last longer than me, very affordable and does its one trick very well.

que buen diseño, muy funcional, muy practico, muy firme y muy bien construido realmente es bueno ese aparatico se adapta super bien a los soportes de luz y mantiene muy firme. lo mejor es que la altura de la caña del micrófono boom se puede graduar milimétricamente para colocarlo a la distanasia máxima posible del que esta hablando sin que lo tome la cámara. sus materiales son buenos metálico todo. solo tiene un recubrimiento en una parte con un plástico que es bastante suave y pegajoso por decirlo de alguna manera, para evitar que la caña del micrófono se deslice, eso es bueno, solo no se cuanto dure.

I can't believe more people don't know about this, and that another company doesn't have anything to compete.No longer do you need to have a heavy grip head PLUS a fishing hook. This one part does it all, at a fraction of the weight. I use it weekly with absolutely no issues.

I tried to stay frugal with my audio setups by attaching a mic holder to the end of a C-Stand long arm. However, this rarely put the mic close enough to the talent, so I’d often use the lav audio and call it a day.However, after finally deciding to bite the bullet and pickup a boom pole and this item (boom pole holder), the results are phenomenal!The holder itself seems to be constructed to industry specifications. The only point of failure with this setup would probably be a cheap grip head.The only issue I found can be seen in the 3rd photo: the grippy rubber coating has a split at the bottom. I hope it doesn’t expand and eventually cause the rest of the unit to shed the grip (rendering the item more or less useless).

My colleague has one, so I know it's sturdy. Unfortunately the one I brought snapped on 1st use, good thing someone was close by and able to catch the boom before the mic hit the ground. I did a return and got a new quicker than I got the 1st one. I think I just got a bootleg one at first. I'm sure I'll be fine now. Appreciate the quick turn around on this! I'm giving 5 stars for that. If it snaps again I will change the rating
