Are the pins quite sturdy on this charger? I had the charger that came with my raspberry pi 4 but the earth pin on the top came off this morning

The official Rpi4 PSU with UK pins is sturdy but I cannot vouch for EU or N. American versions.

Will it work on the pi 3b ?

No the 3b has a micro USB connector not USB-C.
