Marimekko - Percale Collection - Sheet Set - 100% Cotton, Crisp & Cool, Lightweight & Moisture-Wicking Bedding, King, Orkanen

This sheets are simply gorgeous, but OMG, they are rough and scratchy! I washed them before I put them on the bed, got in and my face felt like I was sleeping on a sandpaper pillow. The top sheet was also scratchy. I can't figure out why they used such inferior cotton for these beautiful sheets. Really disappointed. I washed them again with fabric softener added, hoping that will make a difference. If not, them I'm afraid they are not usable.Update: These are counterfeit sheets; at least the ones I received are. 1) These are listed as 200 thread count; on the Marimekko website, they are listed as 300 thread count. This is a big difference in thread count, and this accounts for the scratchiness of these Amazon-sold sheets. 2) The Amazon-sold sheets are made in Pakistan. On the Marimekko website, these sheets are made in Mexico. I am not certain, but I don't believe that Marimekko manufactures in Pakistan; they have a lengthy "ethics and sustainability" statement on their website that indicates they manufacture only in countries that have ethical work practices.

The sheets are beautifully colorful in the person. The print is just as vibrant as in online photos. I have a very deep mattress and the fitted sheet slipped on with ease. I washed before using for the first time, and the sheets washed well without any color bleeding.I rate these a 3 because I expected better quality at this price point. The sheets are quite rough to the touch and aren't as crisp, cool and smooth as other percale sheets I've purchased at this price point. Percale sheets typically don't have a high thread count (200-300 tc) and the thread count of these fit within range. I erred by purchasing without knowing the type of cotton fiber used. I much prefer the similarly-priced percale sheets by Tribeca Living that are made of Egyptian Cotton fiber and have that desired cool, crisp texture of percale.I was disappointed that additional pillow cases are not available, but that didn't factor into my score. I cannot return because I've washed them, but I don't intend to purchase any more percale sheets by this brand.

Cheated! I ordered this sheet set as it was described as a whole set of 100% cotton Marimekko sheets. It felt light for a king size set and sure enough when I opened the package, a cheap and perfume smelling polyester cheap sheet was stuffed in there. I am so disappointed.

I’m rather picky when it comes to bed linens; I only buy 100% cotton and like a crisp percale.The weight of the fabric is very nice. If you like Ralph Lauren all cotton percale sheets, you’ll like these...although they don’t have the smooth sheen and crispness of RL cotton sheets.What I like best: they are surprisingly wrinkle free. I often iron my cotton sheets, but the 4” border of the flat sheet and pillow cases stays flat after washing, so I don’t feel compelled to iron these like I normally would. The fabric is a lot smoother and feels great if you do take the time to steam iron.The weight of the cotton percale won me over and I’ve bought multiple sets of these sheets. I think they will get better with age after they’ve been washed a lot. I wish there was a duvet cover in the stripe pattern.If you like a heavier sheet like vintage Martex, or similar, you’ll like these. I don’t find them rough — but they aren’t the silky smooth sheen of high thread count, but I like a durable cotton that improves with age.

Marimekko was my go to brand for years due to softness ... these sheets are aesthetically pleasing but they’re SCRATCHY ... I don’t believe they are actually 100% cotton percale as advertised.I’m 10 washes in and they’re still awful. :-( very disappointed I’m the high price tag for this set. (I’ve paid up to $199 for a set of Marimekko sheets before but they were AS ADVERTISED).Not sure what’s going on with the brand ... maybe these are a bad batch?

Outstanding set of Marimekko sheets. I am stunned by the color and what I got for the price. The set got washed and put on the bed immediately for a trial. To comment on other reviewers, yes the fitted sheet is quite deep and would fit a deep king mattress. I put the sheet on easily and just pulled it farther under to get the smooth surface. No complaints here that the sheets are plenty big. The flat sheet is a standard size, might even be better a bit larger. The set comes with two king-sized pillow cases. The texture of the sheets is not as soft as my Egyptian cottons, but I am sure they will soften with repeat washing. Love Marimekko!

i love the pattern and color, BUT, the flat queen sheet seems to be irregular and not cut correctly, when folding the sheet, trying to match corners doesn't work because the sheet is short and narrow at one enddisappointingseller should disclose that these are not 1st run

If you like super-soft slippery fabric with no body like those really high thread -count ones, these are not for you. I love the stiffness and substantial feel of this percale. It reminds me of the old-fashioned cotton sheets my grandmother had. The fabric has a lot of body and i am sure it will soften with age but the thickness makes it feel real solid. I have had Marrimekko sheets before and I used them until they began to split apart ...after about 20 years...They were very soft by then!

These sheets are well worth the buy, and you can not beat the price!! I am looking forward to purchasing the other sets, of Marimekko, if only there were more of their patterns !!!!

This does not fit a queen size bed. It is way too small

I expected the sheets to be smooth cotton percale. The texture is rough and sheets are very poor quality.
