Hands down, the best air purifier i have ever used and to me in the planet. Why? Because it uses a 400 degree hot ceramic tube to pass air thru which sterilizes the air. It doesn't just temporarily deal with the crap in the atmosphere, it permanently eradicates it. Including all that mite dung and eggs, pollens, and other filth in the air we breath and shouldn't. Pretty much all there is to say. Oh, when you first get it there might be a small manufacturing smell, it will go away after few hours, put it somewhere like garage (on of course) and then it will bake the smell out of itself. And remember it works gradually so i noticed an impact in breathing after a day, but others may need few days or weeks to feel its impact. i love clean air now and work/sleep much better. Oh and it will never need a filter replacement and its silent.

LOVE THAT A FILTER IS NOT NEEDED. THE AIR PURFIER WORKS GREAT! THERE IS A SMELL WHEN IT BURNS OFF BUT IT IS NOT TERRIBLE AND IT DOESN'T TAKE LONG.

I've been using Airfree products for around a decade now, and wish I had discovered them before then. I am absolutely certain they work because without them I would always wake up with sinus problems and/or a sore throat. While with them I tend not to have any of those issues and rarely get colds.I started with the P1000, then upgraded to the P2000, and recently got another P2000. However I had to return the P2000 because it did not have a light switch at the bottom, and it's entirely too bright to sleep with for me. My previous 2 had the light switch, so it's a new design decision apparently.These tend to work for around 4-5 years and then lose effectiveness. They still run, but I can tell they're losing their effectiveness because I get my sinus and allergy issues again. I can also tell if it's unplugged of course. After I replace them, things are always fine again.I suggest this one for bedrooms now. Most bedrooms are going to be in the effective size, and there are no lights to worry about. There is the one on-light but it's small and easy to point away. I hope this lasts the full 4-5 years, and I'll probably just grab this again at that point.No need for filters or anything else, just keep it plugged in all the time. I also have a secondary air purifier that I run that has filters, I use that more for odors and for occasional use, and it's really not even necessary but I was looking for replacements for the P2000 and I wanted to test things out. I really think the Airfree Air Sterilizers are the best however. I love that they're silent and you can just run them continuously. They're small and you won't really notice them physically but at least for me it's been an absolute necessity.Edit-I'm not sure this one can handle the area listed. It does help to an extent but it does not seem to move nearly as much air or be as effective as the other ones. It might be better for a decent sized closet or bathroom, or a very small bedroom. The problem is with the other ones I think there's no way to turn off the lights on newer models, and I don't want to just keep buying on Amazon and returning the same product lines to test. I don't know that I can recommend any of the AirFrees anymore.Edit2- I didn't see the comments before, but apparently there is a touch control for the lights on the other models now, on the side near the logo. The T800 has failed for me in roughly a year. I will be looking into one of the other models again and maybe I'll update after I use the touch control, but I assume it works that way now. Disappointed in the T800 though and I have to change to a not-recommend. I did e-mail warranty support so I guess I'll see how that goes. I suspect the T800 just isn't effective, it's also noticeably much smaller than the other models.

I ran the machine a few months before giving a review, because, as most people have noted, it is a mystery if it works or not? For me, the answer is no. It IS quiet, it DOES get very hot, but it does not "eliminate" odors, it does not remove dust, it does not prevent or eliminate mold, all of which would be the reasons I purchased the machine. It is a foot tall, fairly expensive, doesn't have any buttons, switches, knobs, or controls, just a constant blue light that I assume is suppose to let people know it is ON, but, alas, it does not DO anything...

I purchased one of these several years ago, and it has served me well in keeping my house from smelling like a cat litter box. I recently bought two more to put in other rooms, but while the new ones are good, they just do not seem as effective as the older one. I tested them out first in the bathroom since I have a good idea of how well the first one works. I unplugged the older one and plugged in one of the new ones. It helps, but I can smell the cat’s business when I walk into the bathroom. It does take most of the smell away, but it isn’t as good as the older one. The plastic material is also different. My older one has more of a matte finish, while the new ones are made with a glossy plastic material. It’s still a good purchase since you never have to change any filters. Also, they are totally silent.

I put this item in the room that our Grandbaby uses when he is with us. We have a larger one in our bedroom. What I notice is less dust...really! While there is mild heat coming off the top, it is not bothersome and does not seem to affect the temp in the room much. I did not want to contend with having to purchase filters, so the ceramic core is a bonus for convenience. I am happy with the purchase.

This is my second one. I also have 2 of the bigger ones. To the non believers out there all I can do is tell u how I know it works. I have had my first one for over 8 yrs. now. I bought that one to put in a room I have my cockatiels in. It is an enclosed room and I wanted something that didn't have an ionizer and I didn't want to deal with changing filters. After a time I bought another kind with a filter took this one out thinking it probably wasn't doing a thing and put the new one with filters in the Tiel room.. Next morning I went in to feed the birds and it smelled like a chicken coop in there! I immediately took the new purifier out and put the old one back in and after a few hours the smell was gone! I know it works now. The top of my old one eventually cracked I guess with age so I replaced it with the same one and bought a bigger one for another room. I put my old Airfree next to my cats litter box and it took care of business. So to those that think this is a scam....think again...it works!!
