did not work

well i bought this to relive one of my most fav games that i had on my Xbox 360 and out of the list i had this poped up and i thought oh yeah got to go get this and i thought as i have my old Xbox 360 in storage but can i get this on PC ? looked it up it said yes it is on PC and then went looking on this site, bought it, got it, put it in, installed it, played it and it was great next time i started it up nope super laggy like it was running not at 50-60 fps anymore but about 15-20 fps this to my eyes looked unplayable, I then messed with the settings to put it all on low settings even tho its an old game and should really be fine really and nope went looking online most of these fixes for it, are just for the steam version not the CD version and yeah its no longer on Steam anymore so its not like i can go buy that version. found a CD Patch on a site called patches-scrolls .com it kinda fixed the game it seems like with the Patch i could only use the resolution once, once the game shut down say 1280×720 will now become back to 15-20 fps the next time i start it up no longer good frame rate and well i give up, there is no real fixes for this game unless you had the Steam version what i said is gone so i think its best you just go buy the Xbox 360 version as that has never had this problem so get the xbox version that does not have this known issue with the PC version as I've looked every where on the internet and it truly is a known issue with this game on PC even when it came out so kinda wasted my money on this and now need to spend more money just to get the xbox version.found this helpful? please rate this as helpful if so :) thank you.

I was told by many that it wouldn't work on windows 7 64 but yes it does now at first it wouldn't this was because I have an AMD 8 core cpu but that was solved by editing one file C:\Program Files (x86)\Codemasters\DiRT\system\hardware_settings_re strictions.xmledit the file ( hardware_settings_restrictions.xml) look for :-workerMap8Core.xml (notice the '8')and change to workerMap4Core.xmlgame play is ace love the buggies super graphics RECCOMENDED to all

Wasn't expecting the perfect game I got. Really happy with this purchase.

I really love this game, and while I had a couple problems getting it to work with my 8 core computer, once I did, I had a great time. It arrived promptly, and at that price, it is definitely worth it.
