The excerpt about your talk with Rush Limbaugh was beautiful. Thank you Mark for everything.
This book is incredible. I’ve read it ten times. Mark Levin read the excerpt about his conversation with the great Rush Limbaugh the night before his dog Sprite died. I lost my dogs and mother in 2020 and this book gives me comfort. Mark Levin is an incredible man with a heart of gold. God Speed Rush.... we love you.

LOVE THIS BOOK. LOVE MARK LEVIN.
I first ordered this book on December 6th, when I became aware of it's existence. I had been looking for books by Mr. Levin, because I am a fan of who he is as a person and a talent: I love dogs, so I bought it. The purchase of this book was prescient, as unexpectedly, my dog died on December 12th. The book has been comforting to say the least. Mr Levin's experiences are heartwarming. It is a difficult time for me, and this book was comforting. Thank you Mr. Levin. RIP to all of your beloved animals who were lucky to be a part of your wonderful family. RIP to my baby who was the joy of my life, deeply loved and forever missed.

Healing book for dog lovers!
I had to put our Sheba to sleep on October 6, 2018. My little Sheba was a Pit bull full of love, who liked to have her tummy rubbed. Loved pizza crust, car rides & sit next to me on the sofa & watch tv. We discovered a tumor a week ago & then more tumors on a follow up visit. Sheba saw my 2 youngest son from elementary thru college. 11 years in our family, my sons friends loved her & all are devastated my her loss. She brought us thru some hard times in our lives. I thank God for her. Yesterday morning after putting her to sleep, I knew that the book that Mark wrote about his dog Sprite, would help me deal with deep pain. I read the book all day, cried. It helped to see that my family & I were not the only one, that felt anguish about putting our family member to sleep. Thank you Sprite, Mark & his family. Mark I’m so glad your wrote this book, it’s a healer for dog lovers who have lost their dog. I’m going to order the paperback & another kindle versions for my sons.

He was so surprised to see that sweet little face looking up at him
We had to euthanize our beloved miniature schnauzer, Lucy, this morning. She was 14 and a half. She had diabetes, one blind eye and she was mostly deaf. She was our baby and a lot of our lives were spent caring for her. When she was seven weeks old, I gave her to my then-boyfriend, now husband, for a 52nd birthday present. I put her in a computer printer/fax machine box, pretending it was heavy, and presented it to him in front of his kids and mine. He was so surprised to see that sweet little face looking up at him. Lucy cooperated miraculously by remaining perfectly silent.Honestly, I am beside myself with grief. I remembered that people took solace from Mark Levin's book, "Rescuing Sprite," but I couldn't imagine how it could help. I was going to read the reviews to try to understand just how it could help. Instead I just bought the kindle edition and immediately started reading it.It is beautifully written, and before long I was immersed in Mark's story of family and beloved and extraordinary pets. After a while I realized that I wasn't dwelling on the loss of Lucy, if for just a little while. It is helpful to know that others have had the same feelings I am now experiencing. I must now grapple with Life Without Lucy after the many years of loving our dear, sweet girl. It will require learning ways to duck the pain and to just put one foot in front of the other, focusing on moving forward, while honoring my memory of Lucy.

Kindred spirits.....
I recently lost one of my best friends; a black and white husky mix we called Panda. Her illness was sudden and devastating. In the space of a few hours I had to make the decision to put her down. Holding her in my arms while the drugs were administered was one of the most tormented things I have ever had to do. I felt disconnected afterwards wondering to myself why the pain and depression were so powerful. After having read Mark's book I realize that perhaps what I experienced is more common than I could have believed. My own emotions were captured here in Sprite's story. I have long admired Mark Levin as a wise and entertaining teacher. Though we will never meet, I recognize him as a brother and friend. Support your local animal shelter and rescue organizations. Put puppy mills out of business. Thousands of unwanted pets are put to death, unwanted every single day. Perhaps not the next one you meet...

Agadore Spartacus our treasure
We enjoy Mark’s words of wisdom as we watch Fox on Sunday nights, so this book about his reflections on Sprite had to be good. We were not disappointed! He called to mind our own experiences with Agadore our delightful Italian Greyhound. He was the first dog I ever kissed! As a puppy he only weighed about 3.5 pounds. He is our special treasure!

Touches the heart
What a beautiful book this is. I love Mark Levin anyway, listen to him on the radio all the time. I know how much he loves his dogs, and his story about Sprite really touched my heart. It made me cry. I have unfortunately had to lose so many dogs and cats in my life, that I could identify with his pain. I am still heart broken about my recent losses just over 15 months ago, of a dear cat and dog. Memories of their last days still haunt me. Mark's recounting of his discussions with Rush Limbaugh about Sprite were so touching and Rush's words of wisdom about our beloved pets will stay with me always. If you are a pet lover, read this book.

RESCUING SPRITE
This is a wonderful, heart warming book that arrived in good condition when the first copy was a used copy sent in error. The seller is an honest person and was unaware of the problem. In any case, this is a book that will bring tears to your eyes. It tells how wonderful it is to adopt a dog from a shelter and give it a forever home. So many dogs need homes. I bought this for a friend who has two grandchildren and she will read it to them.

emotional read
Great book that makes you realise that a dog that has ended up in kennels, that won't win prizes for looks and most likely won't get give you years and years of companionship is still worth taking into your life for a short time it has left only to touch your heart forever.

Sweet
If you've ever lost a dog, then this story warms your heart. I found it sweet and lovely to read. I have lost a few dogs in my past due to old age or illness, but they are never truly gone as it is put in the book. A must read for dog lovers.

Heartwarming
"Rescuing Sprite" another brilliant book for the dog lover, in fact any animal lover. An absolute joy and a story that really touches the soul. If only us humans could be as stoic,as brave and as loving as our canine friends. A book that once read will not be forgotten.
