Short and to the Point
This is a very short introduction guide to hedgehogs, probably an essential for all new hedgie owners. I bought this on recommendation from Z. G. Standing Bear of The Flash and Thelma Memorial Hedgehog Rescue after adopting a hedgehog for the first time. It comes with many informative pictures and charts, such as possible illnesses as well as suggested foods, bedding, and toys for your hedgie. The paper itself is even high quality. Well worth the money, and I think very important for anyone looking into getting a hedgehog.

Informational, educational, and CUTE!
This little books covers everything you need to know about a pet hedgehog. I know you can get most information online, but I loved reading this and having it handy. It was a useful care manual to send with my sweet hedgie to the sitters for two weeks. Now it’s used as a coffee table book, because the photos are too cute!

Helped us learn a lot.
We got a hedgehog from a lady who was having a baby so didn't want it anymore. This book helped us learn a lot! I haven't read a ton of it but my girlfriend read it all and thank goodness she did. I almost freaked out that he was dying or sick when one time he started foaming heavily at the mouth and spitting on himself while contorting his body. Like a hedgehog seizure almost. But, it turns out that it was him changing his scent or something weird? Idk. All I know is this little book will help you out for sure.

MUST BUY FOR NEW OWNERS but one very important thing missing....
Everything you need in one book! BUT after my hedgie turned a year he had to have emergency surgery on his foot for human hair getting tangled. Apparently this is a common problem and not mentioned. Cost me $600 plus a toe amputation. Poor little guy and I helped with the surgery and he was so painful we had to up the anesthetic and numb the whole foot before he stopped moving and could get it out of the embedded skin. CHECK THEIR FEET just like a human baby.

bisher bestes Buch

Essential Reading If Considering Homing A Hog
This is an excellent book for anyone thinking about taking on Hedgehogs. The book is focused on the African Pygmy Hedgehog which is by far the most popular domestic hog. The detailed information is delivered in an easily read format, covering all areas of caring and enjoying these little creatures.I gave the book to my daughters aged 12 and 8 - both enjoyed and understood what they read. On that basis I would say this is an ideal book for a family to read/study together.
