Good stuff
I purchased a 2011 rav4 with 60k miles that had documented dealership service every 5k miles. It had all new differential and transfer case fluid at 55k. Unfortunately Toyota believes in lifetime transmission fluid unless you tow or drive the car very hard. So even then I was surprised to find out the dealership never serviced the ATF in this car, it was charcoal black on the dipstick. The previous owner must've driven it pretty hard. It had some hesitation and whirring between 1st and 2nd gear. Transmission whine at 25mph. And between 40 and 50mph there was some loud clunking, like gravel in a can. I assumed some bearings were gone but hoped for the best. I set an appt with an indy shop for a flush. I know it's not often recommended to get a transmission flushed, especially if the fluid is black or major issues are suspected. But approach it correctly and you'll be fine. Many quick lube places will start the flush with incompatible fluid because it's cheaper, then use spec fluid at this tail end. Avoid this. Many places will flush without dropping the pan and replacing the filter. They may tell you it doesn't have a serviceable filter. Avoid this. Do research. Find out if you have one and get it changed out. Many places will also use detergents or additives to clean everything out. Avoid this. Purchase extra fluid (buy the cheapest COMPATIBLE fluid you can) and have them just keep flushing until clean. Alternative to all this, just do a drain and fill and repeat every month or two to get a good dilution. 3-4 times should do it. There are also some good DIYs to get a good flush in the driveway. Anyway, I added lubegard flush to the transmission fluid reservoir before dropping my car off to the mechanic. On the way there the rattling at 40mph magically disappeared and the shifts instantly became smoother. Now after the flush the whine is barely noticeable. The whirring between 1st and 2nd gear is still there but that's likely due to a worn clutch plate that no fluid could likely fix. All in all I am very impressed. I use lubegard products extensively and plan on doing the engine flush before my next oil change. I had the lubegard ATF additive in the transmission before the lubegard flush, and the lubegard flush had a more pronounced effect on smoothness than the additive. I like the fact that neither their transmission or engine flushes have detergents. Since it's impossible to get every last bit out, it won't harm your engine or transmission by staying in there.

Great products at a great price
I've used this product several times and helps flush out all the old varnish and worn material to get a more complete flush than just draining and filling.

Great product that really works
I would not have believed it if I wouldn't have seen it with my own eyes . I have a 2000 Mazda protege that I bought from my daughter. The transmission felt really bad, delayed shift, overdrive light flashing. Well, it was a mess. My brother asked me what was a good auto transmission additive that I would recommend to him and I told him about transx. ( by the way a good product to). And by accident he showed up with the lube guard flush. Well, I said minus well use it. So he poured it in the transmission and never herd anything back from him weather it worked or not. But I remember reading the reviews here on amazon and I said to myself, I guess I won't loose nothing by trying it. So I ordered one and I poured in my Mazda. Took it for a long drive. Stopped at a Walmart to get some stuff and started back home. All of the sudden I notice that the transmission light was not flashing any more. And when I started accelerating the transmission would respond very good. So like I said in the beginning, if I would have not seen it with my own eyes I would not have believed how this product works. Now bare in mind, if your trany is about to bite the dust there is nothing on this planet that will help other then a rebuild. But if it hasn't been abused and when you take the pan off there are no chunks of metal on the pan then there's a really good chance this product will help your transmission. Now after you drive it some don't forget you have to drain the old fluids and change the filter and refill with new oil. That will do the trick. Great product.

saved me over $2000 on a rebuild...
I had a 4L60e transmission on a tahoe that was slipping from first to second and second to third. It was a used car I purchased, and I'm not really familiar with auto transmissions, so i wasn't really prepared to have it rev to about 6k RPMs on the freeway while going about 10 mph and blowing a bunch of black smoke out the back like M-eFin James bond... I just kept pushing the gas down further, and nothing but black smoke, so obviously I thought I had really destroyed my truck. I did a lot of research to determine what was going on. I was afraid that some of the gear packs were burned up and that I would have the re-build the transmission or buy a new one to the tune of $2300. I found this product and decided to give it a shot, and I am categorically impressed with the results. I ran around town (contrary to the directions) with the product in the transmission for about an hour (trip to home depot and back). I drained the fluid and it was black like oil. I replaced the fluid and the transmission grabs and shifts much much better that it did before the treatment--it is rare to actually notice an improvement with products like this. Even my wife noticed the difference. This product saved me over 2K so I would recommend it to anyone who thinks their tyranny in on its last legs. give it a shot, and i'm sure you will be impressed...

It worked!
I have a '98 GMC pickup which was shifting hard from first into second. It was like it was going into second gear and then lurching within a fraction of a second after going into gear. It would set you back in the seat a little when it lurched. At that point at was letting off the gas a little when I thought it was about to shift into second so I would do less harm to my transmission. I put this stuff in my transmission and drove around town for about a half hour and started to notice an improvement in the shifting for ALL gears within 5 minutes. The transmission shifted faster and considerably smoother although going from first to second wasn't perfect but there was significant improvement. I went home and flushed the fluid, cleaned the pan changed the filter and put in Valvoline Synthetic ATF fluid and was done with it at that point. 24 hours later, I got in my truck and started driving down the road and the improvement overnight was so obvious. Going from first to second was perfect. I couldn't believe it! I actually stopped and started off 3 or 4 times to see if it was just a fluke. My transmission had a serious problem and $h1t actually worked!!!

Tried and true
Saved the 4T65e crappy transmission on my 2004 Impala LS with 3.8 engine. It was banging and shifting bad until I started using Lubegard flush (95001) and Red (60902). After the flush I throw in a bottle of Red every 30,000 mile ATF and filter service and the car has managed to go at least 100,000 miles more without having to replace the transmission. It still acts up a little in hot weather stop and go but at least it functions.
